GIANNIS THREAD: Giannis has SIGNED the Supermax

Could be. But trusting Jrue is a gamble tbh. He is a defensive monster, but his offense has always been overrated for me. He isn't a much better playmaker than Bledseo. Jrue had a 4 % lower TS than Bledseo last year. I guess he is still living of the reputation of one good playoff series (2018) against the 2018 Blazers.

I don't overrate preseason, but a championship contender (a chip or bust team maybe) probably should put away the Mavs bench. The concerning thing for the Bucks was yesterday that the Mavs bench had a better offensive flow than the Bucks starters.

This team still goes as far as Giannis takes them. And i don't think his offensive arsenal is enough. Have to hope the rest of the East is "average" to make the finals.

In this article, it says that Bucks teammates all gave Giannis a pen in his locker in order to get him to sign his extension.

Giannis' response? "It got a little bit old, I have 20 pens in my locker"

Also the team chaplain (the photo is of a prayer). So someone Giannis may have legitimately confided in. Definitely makes you wonder.

The choice is simple. Stay in Milwaukee and be in the Charles Barkley category or join Luka and be remembered forever as a multiple time MVP and multiple time champ!

Is it just me, or does anyone else appreciate the art just randomly hanging in the background of an image of Giannis praying about his future?

Just something to think about here guys:

Hope and pray that Brooklyn gets Harden because they could be a dark horse for Giannis.

I am getting the feeling now that the Bucks will not want to lose him for nothing due to the assets they gave up in the Holiday deal.

He's re-signing with Milwaukee

The best thing for the Mavs is that this didn't stretch out beyond the trade deadline and into next offseason.

Glad we are put out of our misery. It's good for basketball for him to stay in a small market. I also like parity in the NBA as we now have some very good Eastern teams.

I would have loved for Giannis to come to Dallas, but this is definitely the second best outcome. It's good for Giannis, good for Milwaukee, good for small market teams, good for the talent balance between conferences, and good for the NBA.

So who do we target now? Anyone interested in Kawhi?

Good decision for him. He can also ring chase somewhere else once this contract is up.

Plan A is to make our own guys like Richardson and THJ so successful that we'll be thrilled to lock them up long term. Beyond that, it's too early to say. Dallas will clearly do whatever they can to make incremental improvements every chance they get, either via trade or FA. And as the season goes on, more guys may become available that aren't on anyone's radar right now.

But for now, having Giannis officially off the table should allow fans to sit back and enjoy what they have rather than fixate all year on what they wish they had. Dallas is already a good, deep team. And they have a bright future no matter what.
