GAME 56: DAL (30-26) vs. LAC (31-27) | 110-104 WIN!
Kidd’s end of half brain freeze has turned this game around. Hope he gets his bearings back at the half.  Hardy is playing well. Kyrie really didn’t need a rest there. Yet, he benched both and played Wright, and the Clippers made a nice run. Inexplicable. It’s too late in the season for that kind of experimentation.

Dallas needs to keep being aggressive and make shots at the start of the 3rd. Clippers only down eight.

Weird end of half lineup.  Fun half of basketball to watch though.  Kyrie makes things look easy.  Always fun to watch a shooter catch a heater like Reggie did.

Point THJ was….interesting…but made some nice passes.  He’s 1-5 on 2’s after going 2-9 against Utah.  Dude is such a mess as soon as he steps inside the 3 point line.

But Green is playing so well.

How many Nets fans do you think tuned into this game on league pass to watch Kyrie and are now screaming "WTF, why didn't we get THAT guy in the deal??"

THJ is horrific but he hasn't been that bad tonight.

He needs to be gone though. PLEASE Bogdan to replace him.

Oh I'm sure they're pissed.

I'm actually keeping an eye on how well DFS performs. He looks like a shell of himself right now. I thin being traded rattled his mind a bit. I hope he's good though.

People talking about wanting Luka to continue this pace when he's back still don't get that we have the best offensive rating in the league with him playing exactly the pace he plays at. Yeah the pace of play is great in this game, and with Kyrie we will prob do it more often. But regardless of your thoughts on fast v slow paced offense, the effectiveness of Luka's slower pace cannot be questioned.

The difference is everyone all of a sudden gives a crap about putting in defensive effort. That should be the case regardless of the pace of offensive play.

Also please god let THJ be traded. I don't even care who for.

I would literally trade him for anyone that doesn't cause us to take on additional money.

Sometimes the best moves are the ones you don't make.

I know you are a huge Luka fan and love his style of play, but the team is different now. Mavs are going to be playing faster now and that's a good thing for everyone. Luka will still get plenty of chance to pound the ball into the ground.

I think the team plays like usual with Luka, and then goes into hyperdrive when he sits for the 2nd and early 4th.

I don't see why that'd hurt either, as it plays to both strengths of Luka and Kyrie

Is it bad that I want more McGee....?

It's not about fast or slow, it's about ball movement, which has two benefits:

1) everyone touches the ball, which is WHY everyone is playing harder tonight.

2) it's a zillion times more difficult for the defense to defend.

Harden's rockets never won jack, my guy. It's a dead end.

He can still pound all he wants in the half court but we absolutely need to run more after rebounds
