2019-2020 Mavs Trade Discussion + Salary Chart
Also kind of sad the best thing we could get for Barnes was Justin Jackson and no picks

Does Cuban even want Luka to be a mav for his enitre career? You'd think they would learn from how much they fucked Dirk out of more rings; they got so incredibly lucky that Dirk put up with their bs for his entire career and brought us our only ring.

Definitely dissapointed. However, all wings were sold for a lot of assets. Morris is the only exception and he might actually be gettable, if Mavs wanted too. GSW2nd is basically the same as Clippers first and Harkless is nothing special.

Dissapointed we couldn't get at least a couple of second rounders for TE and Lee. I think it will hurt us in summer. Although seems like Mavs will just add the two picks and run another season with this group.

What still pisses me off to this day, is that they did not sign Lavine or Randle 18 months ago. We were in full rebuild mode, about to hit rock bottom. Literally no young talent. Realistically we were looking at a five year window just to reach 0.500 again. How can you not try to sign 22 year olds with serious upside in that situation and sign that washed-up a** DeAndre Jordan instead and brag about it. No f´n pride. They f´n offered Barnes 24M a year in their desperation, but Lavine was too expensive at 19M.

It just seems the Mavs are totally incapabale of making even a medium-term plan.

Right now we can do f*** all until 2021, except use the full MLE. So why not help some team move some money, by taking on a longer deal for Lee. Or eat a small contract with the TPE.

The way you guys are talking the Mavs had every trade piece every other team wanted for their movable player and the Mavs turned them down.

It's definitely not a possibility that we were trying to make a bunch of moves and we were turned down by the other teams huh?

Oh yeah Fire Donnie cause last TDL we didn't have one of the best TDL's in our franchise history. This time last year it was cries of "Donnie for Exec of the year" lol.

We'll be fine. The only major pace we missed out on got moved on a crazy 4 team trade and it appeared most of you didn't want to move a haul for him that he got anyway.

It's just disappointing to know this top 8 will most likely be the same top 8 we go into the 2021 playoffs with
Seems rather light on talent

It's definitely a risk. The good news is they got KP quick and so it's possible they don't even need a 3rd star. They do need to do better than Wright being their big get when PG wasn't really their biggest need.

Andre Drummond got traded for a frikin 2nd round pick. We have every right to be pissed off at the mavs for throwing this season, a season with the number one offense EVER in NBA history. Its a joke at this point. Are they stupid enough to assume KP and Luka and the rest of the mavs will be 100% healthy for the next decade? Dwight is already screwed, that should have been a wakeup call to the FO that you can't take player's health for granted. Also WHY is courtney lee still a mav? Now we have to compete with the lakers for the buyout market, wonder how thats gonna go.. -_-

Why? They have the summer, in which they will have a first rd pick, to make trades, and the TDL next year. Still lots of possibilities and plenty of time to grow.

We had $30+M of caproom in July. We didn't make enough out of it. The team reamains very limited in terms of moves they can put together. We haven't put in the work to create more assets.

Actually we just lost a big expiring + a big trade exception. Without any return.

Yeah I don't love Drummond, but we should have jumped on that trade to give him a chance to prove himself. If he didn't pan out, it wouldn't have cost much.

Josh Green is a top 5 Mavs player...

The one that annoys me is Drummond. We could have beaten that offer easily.  Courtney Lee, Boban and Delon Wright or Andre Drummond. It´s a tough one.

We needed to keep this core and add to it using filler contracts, bench guys like Jackson and those picks
I doubt we sign anyone too special to a one year MLE deal

Not an excuse for their mishandling of this trade deadline. They could have done both. There is literally no excuse for not trading Lee

We already gave up the 2nd of Utah for WCS.

Tell me Boban, Wright, Lee, Utah 2nd, Dallas 2nd isn´t better than Henson, Knight and a weak 2nd rounder. So irritating.

Their minor decisions are running around on the court helping Luka and KP win more games than any of us expected. Their minor decisions have even gone out and won games without Luka and KP.

Was scared he'd end up with the Cips or Houston

Never knew switching favorite teams was an option. GS/Lakers, Patriots/Chiefs here I come. You can find me wherever the bandwaggon might carry me. Well...except for Houston. They just stink.
