2019-2020 Mavs Trade Discussion + Salary Chart
Hartenstein was seen as a lottery prospect, then the league style, but moreso his bad back scans went against him. So basically now that he´s proven to be fairly healthy and productive the Rockets decide to waive him. LOL. I think Morey is too trigger happy to ever allow a possible championship team to reach maturity.

Would be an excellent pick-up for our system.

Happy for him to replace Stein but don't see a need for another big for the rest of this season, maybe next season if they don't sign Stein.
Boban and Stein will already get limited minutes no need for another big to not play.

If the Mavs sign any player they should be a wing, if DFS goes down they will be relying on Jackson and the 2 way players for regular minutes.

Curious if this is even possible, but theoretically would Dallas be able to waive one of their 2-way guys and sign Broekhoff or Simba to a 2-way deal to replace them?

Dang, I did not know WCS lost his brother, only heard about the news of him having a baby. Understandable that he wants to sit out. I hope he sticks around the organization. Good luck to him.

I saw Burke's name the other day, he was mentioned for another team though.

Every team can use more ex Knicks, right?

WCS means more BOBAN!

We're too thin at Center now. We traded for WCS after Powell went down. I think signing an athletic big makes sense now.

Hartenstein is still the player I'd bring in. Kleber is more of a stretch big, Boban plays below the rim. Hartenstein would fit with his PnR finishing & athleticism.

Yes please. Release MKG and claim Hartenstein.

I am not sure about Burke. Good offensive player, but bench unit of Burke, Curry and Wright will be super small again Sad

This feels like such a 2015 Mavs kind of move. If WCS opts out we have Porzingis, Kleber and Boban to play PF/C, so let´s get more mediocre small guards.

Seems like a weird signing considering the team make up.
Luka, JJ and Wright aren't enough at PG already?
I know they love having 2 playmakers on the court at all times but seems like they really need another big wing or PF with WCS now out.
Very thin at SF\PF now, especially as Klieder is now going to have to cover more minutes at centre.

I was excited ab WCS when that move went down but something has been going all year with him. Guessing this is the official end of the WCS era  it's too bad bc he is imo a very good talent and fit in Rick's system for the price (basically a vet min player).

I don't get Trey Burke. Mavs have been short on bigs but don't seem to care. Boban played great before the break. I hope he gets more burn but I really don't like all my backup big minutes in that basket. MKG was kind of a zero, I wish we would replace him with someone else.

According to Townsend, WCS's mysterious absence earlier this year was because he lost his brother.  I'd cut him some slack.

Josh Green is a top 5 Mavs player...

Not sure why Burke was chosen over Bro. At least Bro plays a position of need. Mavs PG rotation already goes 3 deep.

Maybe the MBT has little faith in Wright?

Because without Lee, Brunson, and JJB (not officially hurt, but only a PT player this year), guard absolutely is a position of need.

Disney is going to be a drag for JJB and Trey.
