Unless, are you suggesting that package would be enough to get Chicago to sign and trade him?

Yes, I was thinking about SnT. There was no other way to get him anyway, imho. I don't think he was ready to sign MLE level deal

Deep down, I knew he was going for the bag. Especially when he had his best season. You gotta strike when the iron is hot.  Finals run be damned.

Interesting.

Will wait until clippers moves are done but not sure I see a strong fit roster wise.

Every move they've made or have been rumored to be trying to make has been about improving on the offensive side of the ball (while trying to maintain as much defense as possible, admittedly). From a bird's eye view, it's the right strategy.

I just think what Jones did down the stretch and in the Playoffs for this team has suddenly become so underrated around here, that's all.

Nothing they've done yet is terrible.

I don’t know if that’s what they think, but I don’t think that’s correct. Marshall played 18 minutes a game for a mediocre team against bench units.  This last season was the first for him to shoot over 31% and he did in low volume. If he regresses to his career average then he isn’t any better than DJJ offensively and although good, he is a downgrade defensively.

As we thought, loads of people today are suggesting that DJJ has the starting job. Some people think it’s between him and Norman Powell, because with Jones in the lineup, the shooting won’t be good enough.

Tim Cato on “the only Mavericks podcast” said that the Mavericks had a standing offer for DJJ. The same 27 mil for 3 years deal that Naji signed. Then shortly before free agency he changed agencies to Klutch sports.
