Why is that I feel like Young has been in the league for a bazillion years. I feel like every year he is part of a trade discussion.

What is it with all of ya'll that don't believe we can win this year? We have the number one offense EVER, and have beaten all the top teams except the clippers. We have an MVP candidate that is arguably the best point guard in the nba. The point of basketball is to win, not gambling on pipedream scenarios to create the next warriors and assuming your entire roster will just magicwlly stay healthy for the next ten years. Like are you even mavs fans? How can you actually say theres no way we contend even if we make trades?

I think it depends on the right trade. Sure we beat some high quality teams, but can we really sustain that at a high level for a 7 game series, and four times at that? We can't even be consistent about beating a high quality team in the Pacers and then come back to beat a solid, yet beatable team at home, in the Griz.
Still watching every game of the season tho, just got to keep my expectations low for the playoffs

Relax. I think everybody thinks they can be contenders with the current roster, just not favorites. Most would put us behind LAL and LAC in the West. We want to see the team improved, but if they don't make a move I don't think people will be abandoning shop.

Am I the only one who saw the new thread title and thought this was a repeat of the opening of free agency? As in, he missed a flight he needed to catch in order to be able to do trades? Guess last summer made me paranoid.
