Guys really trying to fight in summer league. Omoruyi fouled Metu pretty hard, but then Metu took it way too far and got up and punched Omoruyi. It wasn't even that hard of a foul. Metu is a chump.

Thus he completes the one-legged fadeaway Mavs initiation.

Corey Kispert of the Wizards has a nice stroke from deep. Might be the next Duncan Robinson.

I have only seen highlights, but man the freakin Nets drafted a 19 year old late in the first round who is averaging 26 points per game in summer league.   Man....I mean come on.

Cam Thomas from LSU. Had 36 tonight vs the Spurs. It's summer league but some of these young players show a lot of potential.

Really liked him as a 2nd round sleeper last year.

Paul Reed’s final stat line: 27 PTS | 20 REB | 4 AST | 4 STL | 4 BLK Reed becomes the second player in Summer League history to notch at least 20+ pts and 20+ rebounds in a single game (Alan Williams was the first).

Summer league stats are a curiosity, and tend to excite hopes, but aren't reliable in the long run as an NBA predictor, because of the level of competition and the type of play.

Very true. But Paul Reed played pretty well in limited minutes with the Sixers last season.  He has a good motor and plays with force.  Why his nickname is "B-Ball" Paul.

The summer league has been really tough to watch as a Mavs fan...especially with Terry being hurt.

It is weird Dallas didn't target more shooters if they are trying to match needs to the real squad (although may they though shooting would be better).    Omoroyi has been solid.   To be honest, we won't see how he fits until he gets on the court with NBA players.  He is a guy who needs to find ways to be productive when he never has any plays run for him.  I would like to have seen him rebound better....especially with a team that is not a strong rebounding team.  His rebounding #'s have been disappointing.    He is 2-16 from 3.  It is a ridiculously small sample, but he needs to be closer to the percentage he was during his last season at Oregon (37%).   He was 31% his last year at Rutgers.

Hinton also didn't shoot the ball well either.  As a Hinton fan, I need to admit he did not pop as I was expecting.   This next year in the G-league will be big for him.

I like what I have seen from Hunt and Oni.  Both are a ways off but they would definitely have my interest on the G-league team.  Hunt looks to be able to cause some havoc guarding.   He is an NBA athlete.  It is just a matter if he can continue to develop his other basketball skills.   Oni looks impressive guarding on the perimeter and blocking shots.  The rest of his game needs major work though.   Perfect developmental players though.

I think both Hinton and Omoruyi have NBA ready bodies, but they need to polish their offensive game. Hinton was asked to do too much. He is not a PG. He did have some nice passes though. Some bad turnovers when wanted to do too much. But I could see both of them developing to DFS light version. Hinton is still just 22 years old. I could see them as end of the bench vet min guys, once (if) Mavs decide to spend more on the top level talent and not a bunch of role players. Although to be honest - when you are a contender you can easily get decent experienced vets at vet min to fill end of bench roles.

Jalen Green throwing shade on the "D" because they didn't take him No 1.  Sour grapes.

Doesn't help they are winless either. They should be able to beat somebody, sheesh...

I would rather have him than Markkanen.

Why did they give up on him so soon?  That's how it usually works, go somewhere else, potentially become a good player...

Hinton and Terry should never wear a Mavs jersey in any capacity ever again. Leave these bums in Vegas. I heard the Dancing Flappers act could use an extra pair on Wednesdays at 5:00 PM.
