Testing twitter embed:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Presti on Andre Roberson: &quot; He will be on the floor for training camp. He has done so much work to get back. He was a big loss for us last year.&quot;</p>&mdash; Brady Trantham (@BradyDoesSports) <a href="https://twitter.com/BradyDoesSports/status/1177250228501647361?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 26, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

It failed.  I used the embed feature too?

It’s pretty simple man... just click that top right button on the tweet

Then click embed tweet

Then copy this link

Then paste this link

That’s it

I’m doing this from my iPhone

———

Also if you’re using the Twitter App instead you have an extra step is all

Just click the share button and then click on opening it in either safari or chrome and then do the steps above

I did it exactly like that, and you can see what it posted?

Do not use the full embed code you posted. Only post the URL to the tweet. EMBEDLY will pick it up and embed it automatically.

I clicked on enbed code and copy it then paste.  I don’t have twitter I just read it.
Trying again.  Also, with black background I cannot see cursor when I click anywhere so its a surprise to fix typos

This format is a nightmare for me on iphone.  I am trying but have too many issues to overcome and ruins posting expereince.  When I click in black background i have no idea where my cirsor is the  it zooms window out and now this twitter pisting function seems like its not gonna work for me without some major effort each time.  I tried both ways to no avail.  Just way too hard for me to enjoy

Yes it is! Works great. One small thing, very far down the list of priorities. Can you make the upvote + larger? It's very difficult to click on a phone.

Major props to you, Magickian! This is what we always wanted the 247 site to be.

PP you are copying the wrong code...when you click on the arrow at the top right of the tweet and go to the next page scroll up and copy the code that is near the top of the page...paste it into the reply box directly...

When I'm in a thread the right side is cut off when I am on my phone. This issue happens no matter what (mobile, desktop, verticle, horizontal).

If it helps the resolution of my phone's display is 3120x1440.

I had that issue using dark theme...switched to light theme and now do not have that issue at the moment...

Seems to be working in dark mode now. Thanks Magickian

Having the same issue in threads where a photo or article is in the Original Post. It messes up the format for the whole page. Mobile Dark theme.

I had to change to light skin due to mobile dark cutting off and not able to see curser and not able to pinch/zoom on iphone.  Much better now

FYI, the “like” buttons (+ and -) are very small and reside just above the “report” button.  Someone already told me they hit report vs like on me.  I don’t care about it but mods might get confusing reported posts.  If one or ghe other can be moved it will reduce false reports.

Thanks

Dude, you're amazing.  I wish you would have done this 5 yeasr ago....good grief, I do.

Requests:
1)  Maybe give some margin on the edges of the page to make it more center.  That's small and really, the only thing I'm running into is format preferences.
2)  Could I transfer my post count over from Scout?   small thing.

Thanks Brother! I have always been a fan of your posts on Scout. I am so busy as I begin acting as the lead in a horror film this friday as well as shooting my film on monday(which means a ton of logisitcs I am still working out before shooing) all the while three classes are ending and blah blah blah I am so busy hahaha but soon I will crack back into the CSS files and work on this theme some more. Thank you all for your patience in that department... if you were here the first week you know I handled about 20 issues the board complained about and I solved them quick... so I WILL get back on it... just please be patient with me for this month of October.

for your second question? .... idk... maybe someone start a post with a poll asking if your posts should be able to transfer... and if we all think it should count, then I am okay with it. I think as an admin/mod we are able to change your post count... I THINK... I will have to double check, so no promises...

but I think that isn't something that is impossible to arrange... We will just have to start a Google Doc file or something where everyone submits their username and their post count... as it will have to be a one by one manual input sort of thing... so it is easy but time consuming

Is there an option to not view users' signatures? Sometimes they can get in the way and makes things too cluttered.

An option to also not view images in comments would be cool too. Mavs Moneyball has features like this if you want an example. The image is still there by it's not displayed on command; you just click on the "show image" button in the comment if you want to see it.

If it's too much trouble, no worries. Just an idea for those who want a little more organization  Big Grin

Exactly what I was looking for, awesome. Thanks Clutch!

EDIT: Actually, I still can't hide images in comments. Has anyone else toyed around with it? Doesn't seem to be working for me but I can live with it. The sigs are hidden though, which is nice.
