Porzingis is statistically awful from the midrange.  He is shooting 25% between 3-10 feet and 31% from 10-16 feet.  He's also awful on post ups (27%) and is shooting an unimaginable 17% on isolation plays.  Those numbers weren't this bad in NY but they were still bad.

Mavs have access to these numbers.  They're correct in trying to limit him to 3s and dunks.

He just needs to knock down 3s at a higher clip like he used to.  The rest of his offensive game isn't very good.

That makes no sense.  He's not Dirk.  Why take shots that are worth less AND he is worse at shooting?  30% from midrange 2s is 0.6 ppp.  33% from three is 1ppp.  Like it's not even close.
