I'd love to get him. The question is at what price does it make a deal unpalatable?
If all Bagley would theoretically cost is a bucket of spare parts/end of bench guys like Burke+WCS+2nd round pick then I'm all for it. If/When the Kings start asking for stuff more substantial then I start to get uneasy in any Bagley deal. Especially since wherever his new team is, he's going to be looking for an increased role to maximize his upcoming extension.

Oh, don't hear me letting the Kings off the hook. Literally, the only scintilla of a percent that would cause me to entertain Bagley at all would be because a) he's very athletic and talented b) He was a lottery pick AND (most importantly) c) we ARE talking about the Kings as an organization and coaching staff...they are that bad. But even with that, if the price was anythign more than a future 2nd rounder...no thanks. I think Trey Burke is more useful at this point...and I'd waive him for DSJ in a heartbeat.
I heard this analysis today that really summed up my feelings on Bagley. I think it was Hollinger or Duncan, but they made the comment that coming into the league, the thought was that he was so offensively gifted that it would be worth putting up with the horrible defensive end to get the offensive things...but he can't even do that. The things he was supposed to do at a high level, he isn't even doing that.... That's truth, and the fact that you see games like the one referenced in the video above (albeit against a Mavs team that seems to turn all kinds of spares into offensive heroes)...and that's the vast outlier, not remotely the norm.
Re: Jommybone's observation that Richardson didn't even play...
How ridiculous does Brad Stevens look for extending Richardson right now? Literally, if JR doens't crack the rotation OR Stevens can't use Richardson's contract as the perfect Jenga piece to swing a great deal, that will be the first impression of Brad Stevens GM....it would be like airballing a layup in your first game.

It was actually a good coaching move for him to try to get a more of a spacer with Holmes. That said, he would fit with KP much better. I would very much like to pay for that opportunity to add his talent/skill set to this roster.
The guy is versatile and mobile. I think he has good tools to be a solid defender... I have always thought that he could turn into something like a Shawn Marion type. Long and rangy, quick hopper, enough range to keep you honest. IDK if he will ever realize that, but I think he has that potential.
Don't get the interest in Bagley. He is wildly inefficient on offense. I could be convinced that could change with time. But he is shitastic at defense, and has been his entire career. I see no hope of that changing. This team is way better offensively than defensively. Not sure why we want to make that worse. Do we have PF hole? We have Powell and Maxi and DFS (or even Luka) can play minutes there. We have too many bigs on this roster as it is. I can't see the Marion comp, particularly because Marion was actually good at defense.

He's not even in the rotation so his value is nil. I'm only kicking the tires if he is cheap, cheap, cheap.

Don't overreact to JRich situation. Reports say he was not benched/useless, but only that he was sick.

Cavs are trying to reinvent the game. Starting two small guards and three bigs.
Rubio
Sexton
Markkanen
Mobley
Allen
Don´t think it will work but it is at least interesting to watch.

Josh Richardson hits his first two threes in his Boston career. Looks to be moving well just at first glance.

Make that three for three from 3.
Toronto is really long. They really don't have a true center but their staring front line of Barnes (who looks great), OG and Precious just attack the boards. It will be interesting to see if we get killed on the boards on Sat.

IND's offense looks potent under RC, but man their D is atrocious....giving up 73 in a half to a Beal-less WAS....yikes.

Dang, IND gave up 135 in the loss. Giving up 129 points per game in this early season.

In overtime. Losing both games by one.
Not to mention that the refs gifted the Wizards the ball for the final possession of overtime. Called a phantom offensive foul on Brogdon.

I don´t think RC will be able to fix the defensive problem. Comes down to the Sabonis/Turner situation. Sabonis is a liability. Somewhat comparable to the KP situation. Play him next to a big and he is getting exposed on the perimeter. Play him at center and he is getting targeted in the pick and roll + offers no rim protection. Defense was way better without him last season.

Wizards got better. Lakers got worse.
AD shoves Dwight Howard during a timeout. Trade us D12, Lakers.

Phoenix blew out the Lakers last night, now they're getting smoked by Portland. Funny how that works...

Makes you want to cry looking at S. Bey and D. Bane. They could have solved so many of our problems and they were the most obvious old ass college player picks the Mavs usually go for, but ONCE in 20 years they have to go with youth and raw upside. Can´t make that sh*t up. If not for Dirk and Luka, I´d feel like a King, and not of England.

Yeah. I saw Saddiq Bey had 20 pts and 16 rebs for rebuilding Detroit. I think he will be a mainstay for them for years to come. Somebody mentioned on here that he will regress his 2nd year. I think they're hoping he does because Dallas passed on him for Green who doesn't look nearly as good. And Bane can flat-out shoot the rock.

Ja Morant put up a spectacular game tonight with 40 points and 10 assists but choked at the line at the very last second to tie it up to force it to OT.
Would've loved to see the Lakers lose, but I guess its not too bad having Memphis lose either.
One thing the Lakers are doing more of is a Lebron-Westbrook PnR where Westbrook is the roll-man. This has AD waiting by the baseline so if the screener's man doesn't follow Westbrook, WB has a straight line drive to the rim or he can dump it down to AD.
Pretty smart play by Vogel.

Ja Morant is quickly becoming one of the best PGs in the league. He has improved all assets to his game to go along with his freakish athleticism for his size. Other stars have missed important FT's, it happens.
