Not to mention that Jeanie Buss is even dumber than Cuban.
That franchise was a dumpster fire until Lebron decided to sign there. People have forgotten about it.

Drafted pretty darned well though.

With KD coming back so well from the same injury, I just don't think Klay will have the same fortune. His shooting will never go away but I'd worry about his defense. I hope my gut is wrong.

Ya, but even if you just add most of his offense to that team this year, they might pass us. If he’s any good on defense and doesn’t skip a beat on O, I think they pretty easily are in the mix of 1-6 seed to miss the play-ins.

I guess it's nice to dream. Because if they don't get this right, I don't think Luka stays here long enough for that to transpire.

True, but Klay hasn't played in two full years and is recovering from an Achilles on one leg and an ACL on the other. I'm rooting for him, but everyone should keep their expectations in check. Combine that with the payroll situation in Golden State, and it's going to be hard for them to improve. I personally think they can still be good but their glory days are over.

The question for them is what happens with the lottery, and can they find a nice package for a star.
The Wiseman, Wolves and their own picks are really enticing package for a star player. Honestly I think it is much better than what Rockets got for Harden.
If some star is available, I think they are big players.
Could work well if they made right picjs this year

What people totally forgot is that KD took a 18 months "break/preparation" from his Achilles injury. Dwight Powell 18 months from the injury would been in a month from now.
Klay literally have to skip another full season to be on the same time table as KD. As good as Durant looked, its never been mentioned anywhere.

Whoever said a while back in this thread that it could be an agent turned GM is kinda where I'd like this to go. A guy competing with all the other agents to get players, then working with all FOs to negotiate deals sounds like the kind of guy we could use around here. Fix him up with a team of great talent evaluators and let him go!

Early stages, but it seems to be working for the Lakers and Knicks, so far.

I've actually mentioned the timing a lot. It is just hard to expect an athlete to miss that much time. They are competitors after all. And even as good as Durant looked this year, he still missed more games than he played in the regular season. I'd still put him on the exception list with Wilkins as the most successful to ever come back from that injury.

Bob Myers in Golden State was an agent as well.

I was the one who said it, and yes it makes a lot of sense to me.
Also, agents have to scout players, you want to be the agent of Stephen Curry rather than Ricky Rubio or Hasheem Thabeet
Worked well for Knick and Lakers while having bad ownership, worked well for GSW before.

Can you imagine the frustration from Donnie right now. Danny Green may actually be gettable, but Donnie is a man without a team currently. Ha. Actually who knows in our crazy front office setup who actually had Danny Green Envy.

What would have drove Donnie crazy is if the JRich --> Seth trade was a Bob trade, and watching Seth go off as the 2nd best player on the Sixers.

To be fair Huerter killed Curry on the other end with 27 points on 10-18 shooting and it was a big reason the Hawks won the game.

Do we have a GM yet? Do we get to have any interviews any time soon? Is Cuban still making some TV show?

Why can't I be a superstar building around Mavs GM?
