There was no "schtick" involved at all. And, no, I was not "trying to argue." I didn't understand your post (the one to which I replied), so I sought clarification from you. And now, I really don't understand your more recent post (above) either. At this point, though, I think it's probably best to just move on.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3H4BZHUsLk He said he’s going to vote for Embiid cause he’s his guy, but if it’s a fair fight, Jokic should be the winner.
That, my friends, is why the NBA as a whole is a sham!

Incredible how fast Vogel was thrown out. He quite literally won a title 2 years ago and it was hardly his fault why the Lakers sucked so bad.
If I was the Kings I'd be all over trying to get him.
Also surprised Quinn Snyder would want to join that sinking ship. Doc I'm not as surprised. He also wore out his welcome in less than 2 years lol.

I think it's like free agents and the Knicks. I don't think the coaches mentioned are interested, I think the west coast media just assumes the Lakers can get any coach they want. (they can not)

He didn't say "vote"...He said "I'm going to pull for Embiid, 'cause he's my guy."

We all have been frustrated by the seeming ease at which they transitioned from one dynasty to the next, Wilt to Kareem to Magic to Kobe to LeBron, all the while adding good players on bargain contracts to fill the roster. With the current crash and burn and the seeming leadership void in team management, are the Lakers going to have to compete for talent from a more level playing field?

I think the shine is clearly off of the current Laker team's potential for the immediate future, sure. But, it's still LA. They don't have to be very smart/creative to fix this over the next 1-3 years.
Anyone who has ever been there has seen that convenience stores don't even close their doors for 7/10 of the year because the outside weather is better than any possible interior climate control could ever be. The people are happier. The women are better. You go for coffee and end up standing in line behind Matt Damon or Kevin Hart, who invite you to some party in the hills.
If I was a mid-to-late 20's multi-millionaire whose job took place during the winter, I would absolutely be hoping to get to one of those two LA teams somehow.
Hell, I wish I could afford to live there now, and I'm just me.

Personally I am more scared of healthy Utah than this injured version of Denver. I think Denver has a ceiling and regular season is basically showing it. Utah on the other hand, is capable of playing much better, imho. The team can be really good. If they win a couple they can start flying. On the other hand, if they lose a couple, they might just fall apart.

Any team is tough but I agree Utah has another level over Denver due to the injuries. Jokic brilliance mitigates some of that. Clippers would be scary with KL and PG healthy but you have to think KL needs some ramp up time to be the guy that knocked us out last year.

I made no commentary on who I'd prefer to play, I said the quote from Mitchell sounded like a guy trying to figure out how to put something in a positive way. Edit, or really trying to make himself believe what he's saying.

I am waiting for the new NY Knicks number one off season target rumor, a trade for Dwight Powell. Move aside Brunson.

I agree, and no, I don’t need any ramp up time, actually. I’ve told the Clippers as much, but they won’t give me a contract, not even a 10-day.
The Mavs have nothing to fear from me.

I'm personally terrified of the Nuggets solely because of Aaron Gordon. He's historically had great success in defending against Luka and if he's able to slow him down then I could easily see Denver overpowering us through Jokic and his brilliance.
Utah doesn't have nearly the same level of perimeter defense and is easily undone by stopping Mitchell. We have several perimeter guys for that.

KP came up big for the Mavs tonight. He lead the way along with Gafford in destroying the Wolves tonight. Essentially that nixes their hopes at getting out of the play-in. A win for both the Nuggs and Jazz tonight means the Wolves are locked in the 7th seed.
