I have them as prime candidate for a surprise first round exit. I think they are build excellent for regular season but lack star power and skilled two way players for playoffs. As Iztok put it in his article - Tyus Jones is closest to the 2nd player type they have. Not really great.

I think the Mavs should let the two altitude teams UTH and DEN play each other in the 1st round. That way the winner will face PHX in the 2nd round. Mavs should drop down to 6th and play either GS or MEM. I would prefer a Luka vs Ja match-up in the 1st round.

When GS gets Draymond and Wiseman back, it changes the whole dynamic of their team. I wouldn't be wishing for a matchup with them, especially if Klay finds his shot.

Raptors salvaging an otherwise bad day for the Mavs by beating the Nuggets. Warriors, Jazz, Wolves all win.

Watching WAS vs GSW just cause Im still a big KP fan.
So far KP looks so much more comfortable in Washington than he ever has (save a couple of weeks sparsed throughout his tenure) here.
He is attacking a lot on the inside. The Wizards guards first priority is to find him off the roll. He is showing why he's called the unicorn hitting awkward mid range shots and making everything look easy.
BUT! He also is getting attacked a lot in the PnR. I wouldn't say he's the main reason why the Wizards are down 13 right now, but it is interesting how despite KP's success the Wizards have been effectively blown out the whole night.
Edit: also interesting WAS made their best run when KP went to the bench, and when he came back KP fouled Steph on a pretty crucial and-1.

Haven´t watched the game but that was my main takeaway after his first two games for the Wizards. Mavs perimeter defenders and Kidd´s scheme did an awesome job to hide KP on defense.

LBJ seems to be reaching a boiling point. I'm not sure why he still cares. Does he think that maybe getting AD back will let them run as a contender? They haven't exactly burned up the league when he does play.
The only thing they won was the bubble championship, which should have a asterisk by it IMO.

It definitely seemed like a give and take. Seems like the Wizards have no issues letting KP do whatever he wants on offense, and most of the time he actually does score. He looks a lot like the KP when Luka was out. He's aggressive and is scoring well.
But it was definitely apparent that on any meaningful possession, the Warriors made it their mission to attack wherever KP was and they blew by him time after time.

Interesting. I didn't watch the game, but noticed that he was 2 for 7 at one point. I assumed the five misses were his usual variety of quick turnaround brick. He finished 7 for 13 (1-5 from 3) so I guess he got it going later, after the game was basically decided?
10-10 on his FT's is nice.

The first 5 misses were:
Turnaround jump shot (blocked)
Wide open top of the key 3
Wide open top of the key 3
Wide open wing 3.
Wide open top of the key 3.
He then went 6-7 in the 3rd and 4th when the Wizards were down for basically all of it. I will say that KP was their only consistent offense in the 2nd half. No one else could score and he kept them within striking distance of a long shot comeback.
Yet whenever the Wizards got a little momentum guess what play the Warriors ran? If you guessed put whoever KP was guarding in a high PnR with Steph you won. It resulted in an easy basket every single time.

I know there are a lot of Isaac fans here, but a full 2 years without playing is pretty serious. I'm not sure if he's the ultimate buy low guy right now or just a massive liability until he proves that he can play. It's a fine line.

Wow. That's incredible. 2 years after an ACL tear is odd.
Have to question his desire to return to the floor? I wonder how interested the Magic are in moving off of him. His contract is basically dead money if he doesn't return to form. But a 100% healthy Isaac is like the 2nd coming of Andrei Kirilenko.

I'm a HUGE fan of his game (as it was, once) and I wouldn't touch him with a 10-ft pole. It can't be said enough: Winning teams are built around players who PLAY.

I don't think there is any point for a rebuilding team as Orlando to sell such a player at this stage, unless they fear it can get worse. In which case we should be running away anyway.
