Is it just me or did this Hardin thing kind of come out of nowhere? Is it just because he wasn't playing well? How are the Nets a contender without him? Do they really think KD playing 35 minutes and scoring 35 points a night is enough? Anyone really think KD's health will hold up with that usage?
What are Denver's options now that they have lost two more for the season and who knows when Murray will return? Would they be expected to be a player in the trade market after the 15th?

Given the fact that the Nets almost went to the finals last year with just KD playing 35 minutes and scoring 35+ a night... yeah I think it's enough.
Harden has been awful this season compared to what he's shown previously. He's probably been hit the hardest with the reffing changes. I'm not surprised the Nets are shopping around given that Harden is 32 and can't seem to score efficiently without a whistle.

I wonder if and how much KD regrets leaving GS.

No show Kyrie and no whistle Harden...

He couldn't be in charge in GS. He had a coach that tried to talk to him. Brooklyn is letting him have a little kingdom.

I think KD is fine with leaving GS. I think it had an endpoint there for him.
I do think, if he ever quietly reflects, that he may have some second thoughts of picking Brooklyn over the Knicks though. Especially since the Knicks look like a normal franchise (outside of their owner) now. It is just clear to see, Nets home games lack the buzz. The Knicks games, even with a slightly above average team, has the arena buzzing. He would have been the king of NYC

Agreed.
KD is a weird dude, so there's no telling what he thinks, but if I'm in his place what I regret isn't leaving GSW, it's hitching myself to Kyrie Irving.

Best laid plans I guess. KD + Kyrie and then Harden must have seemed unstoppable.

No Giddey, SGA or Favors. Taking the tank a little bit too far.

No way Favors is there after the trade deadline right? Although, not sure there is much value in him at his age and production. He has a player option next year so that also complicates things as far as a buyout. You may be able to get him for the TPE.
Question, is it worth it if he is going to be on the books for 10 million next year? Is he a big enough upgrade over Powell/WCS. Or for that spot, can you find a player of similar value at the 4-5 million range. That player may not be available now, but they are available every offseason.

No shot the interim GM does any moves now. I think Portland is going to stand pat before making any drastic moves until next years draft realistically. By then they'd have hired a new GM and he'll have an idea of what that team needs coming off a fresh season.

Don Nelson was hired as GM by the Mavs after the season started and made major changes that first TD.
Maybe Danny Ainge will do the same in POR? Will little Donnie be considered for a roll in POR?

I think Donnie got his job because of his father. I don't know that he ever gets another chance. Could be wrong, that's just my hunch.
The good news for him is that he made a ton of money here over the years with the cushiest, most secure job in all of sports, so if I were he I'd be looking to buy the other half of Maui to go into the weed business with my Dad.

Looks like the new coach and players in Portland don't really go along. He wants to play different basketball and they don't have the right players for that. He is looking for long wings and the three small guards thing is not really working. So I think the new GM will actually make some moves, because if he doesn't, Lillard might demand trade anytime from here till the offseason. CJ McCullom is the obvious target as it is said Olshey didn't want to trade him, because he was his pick and treasure found.
