This game will be very hard to win.  I hope the boys understand that, going in.  They will need to demonstrate an intensity and effort equal to or greater than the great effort they've shown the last couple games.  WCS and Powell should be able to do some work if RC turns them loose.

Could be a rest night for all five of their most often used starters? I'm actually ok with that. I know we're all nervous Nancies around here, but I actually think there's something to this idea of trying to be as rested as possible when they get to the playoffs, and while it would be nice to get to the 5th seed (possible), only real fear is dropping back to 7th (I don't think that's all that likely).

Man what a difference 2 games makes. Less than a week ago there was no hope of getting out of the play in. Now we are unlikely to drop? I think nervousness should be the feeling for right now (esp with a probable loss tonight). For sure confidence should not be.

5th seed would require Mavs to win large majority of the remaining games as Lakers also have relatively easy schedule and LeBron will return soon. If both stars are missing, why not rest everyone for GSW game? Worst scenario would be to lose both games.

Win 5 of the next 7 and I think we overtake Lakers. But I am starting to think, that Clips will overtake Suns. So I am good with either 5th or 6th. I like Mavs odds against Suns and Denver at the moment. If Suns finish second I am good with play in too. Although I think we will hold on to the 6th spot.

After all its looking to be a good season. We just need a little bit of luck and health.

I love their chances against Denver, but Phoenix scares the hell out of me.

Mavs need to start playing hard every night. Until we see them do that against lesser opponents consistently we will see more of these ups and downs. They just need to play hard.

Look at the state of MacMahon's peanut head looking ass profile pic.

As long as Luka/Maxi/DFS plays I like our chances.

Depends on which THJ we get tonight as well
14x All-Star, 12x all-NBA, 1x MVP, 1x Finals MVP, 1 NBA Championship: Dirk Nowitzki, the man, the myth, the legend.

Agreed. I want no part of Phoenix in the first round.

One thing ab CP3 is that he has worn down at the end of seasons into the playoffs some years. This year lots of players are getting injured with the compressed schedule so it wouldn't shock me if he misses some time during the playoffs.

If he's healthy he'll break opponents hearts. Without CP3 I think Phoenix is tough but beatable. With a healthy CP3 I don't think we're good enough.
