Maybe he’ll cut the rookies‘ minutes in half  for a change. Ha.

I'm preplanning my rage if we lose so go ahead and prep your MBT/Dwight Powell defense posts.

Well, I will start by pointing out that Dwight is pretty tall.

I think its time to make Brunson a starter IMO

He deserves it and has outplayed Richardson and yes I think Brunson's offense is more needed than Richardson's defense.

I would also give more reps to Josh Green so that Richardson play against average offensive players to see if it helps his offense.

Agreed.  On offense, he's just so much better at penetrating and making good things happen than JRich that I think it's a no brainer.  Brunson is much more decisive and doesn't fiddle around dribbling the ball for more than a second or two.  Keeps the defense on the, er, defense! Big Grin  Also, I trust him much more than JRich to convert decent three point looks.  And I don't really see him as worse defensively, anyway.

Tonight, I'd also start Melli for Maxi.  See what he can do.  It's not like Maxi has been playing very well lately, so why not?

Brunson and Powell in. JRich and Maxi out.  The starting lineup is set.  Figure out the bench.  The Mavs also just need better data on Brunson’s actual value, data they’ll only get with him starting.  It’s a final gasp to save a dying season.

Bey with a career high 8 3PT makes tonight.

He went 7 for 7 in a game this season.  I love you Donnie.

The most obvious pick ever but Mavs had to get cute.

I fear if we lose this game we’ll be hearing about one of those “players only meetings.” Not saying that hasn’t happened or maybe doesn’t need to happen, but I really don’t want us to be at that point. Must win game.

What strikes me in that pic (besides those 2 guys not being Pistons anymore) is that Luka looks so lean compared to now..

Luka looks like he has continued to put on weight all season. Not all of it "bad weight" but I am very concerned about his weight and conditioning moving forward....more than anything else.

Should be a easy win on paper alone. Detroit is young, athletic and plays hard. Don't look past them, but they should be looking to improve their draft position later this year, so I'm predicting Dallas gets off the snide at home.

I think we should separate weight and conditioning. Having bigger weight also brings advantages as Luka can absolutely bully ball in the paint. I am quite certain Luka weight is a planned thing. Of course the task in the offseason is to transform ALL that weight into useful weight.

If we win and POR lose to DEN (without Lillard and on a B2B) we'll be 1 game behind the 6th place. It's still within reach. Come on you Mavs.
