To add to the Luka taking care of his body discussion.

It's also about his wearing down in games where he plays more minutes as well as at the end of the season. We've seen it for 3 seasons now.

I looked up Lebron's mpg and at this point in his career, he was averaging 40-42 mpg and I don't remember talks of him looking tired out there (didn't follow him closely either so that very well could have been missed). Imagine having 7-9 more minutes of productive Luka on the floor and not talking about him being worn out at the end of the season (well, all players are worn out and banged up at the end of the season, but I just don't hear or visibly see it as much as I have Luka.).

Hopefully they don’t get all butthurt like they used to against Cuban and take it out on him.

Luka’s not having an all star caliber season by any means.  He’s just been an inefficient shooter with a high usage rate and too many turnovers.  It’s clear he’s overplayed and didn’t prepare himself properly for the NBA season. He’ll turn it around eventually, but this may be a difficult season for him and the Mavs.

Yeah if his current play continues then he does not deserve an All Star bid, though he will get one on reputation alone. This is his worst season in regard to true shooting, turnover rate, and rebounding rate even including his rookie season. And his on/off is by far the worst of his career as well.

But I will stress this, it shouldn't take much for Luka to turn this around. Even with the conditioning issues, if he can be more focused and energized for a whole game things would be much better. This season isn't lost. But with every game that slips by it gets one step closer.

Luka played hard to get his $200M contract. Now that he has it, he can relax for the next two years before demanding a trade away from the worst run franchise in the league. The funny part is Luka and his agent will be very confused, when Cuban refuses to trade him and will make him play out the full five years before losing him for nothing.

Nico needs to shake up this roster in a major way over the next six months and take it in a different direction completely. THJ, Powell, Boban, WCS, Bullock, Sterling Brown, Burke all need to go. Otherwise we´ll know he´s just another Cuban puppet and it´s over.

Ok, I may get flamed for this and it is probably a stupid take.   I think this video was from our last game against the Pelicans.

One one side, I think this is really cool and love watching how special these guys are.  For example, watching Steph in his pre-game routine.

Although on the other side, I am like lets tighten things up a little.   Instead of practicing shooting moon shots, lets focus on firming things up getting ready for tip off.

OK flame away

Let the man have some fun. He has to play real basketball with Dwight Powell and Reggie Bullock 10 minutes later. Undecided

To be fair, Luka has never taken shootaround before tip off seriously. I had the pleasure of being let into the arena about 3 hours before tip off one time, and managed to catch Luka doing a pre-workout routine that was much more serious. He was practicing his step back threes and post ups. Caught about 30 minutes before he went back to the locker room, presumably for treatment.

I think being silly funnily enough is just part of his pre-game preparation. What I am curious about is how Kidd runs his practices and whether or not more structure is needed there.
