I expect the Brunson-Burke & Associates to be the difference in this game

I have to admit I'm very nervous about this game. If I were the Suns, I would just spam the living shit out of CP/Ayton PnRs attacking Powell's """defense.""" Given that the very act of announcing Powell as the starter is an intransigent stubbornness on RC's part, there's no reason to think he'll adjust much. Then, after the Suns are up 20, they unleash Book, and the game is over before halftime.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think so. The Suns have been a problem for us in the Booker years, and their acquisition of CP and our giving zero effs about defense with our starting lineup choice means an extremely probable loss.

I’d think defending the pick and roll is what Powell is best at on that end. Further, while Paul is a genius in that area, I’m not sure Aston is yet.

Should be an interesting game.

Prior to the injury. In the preseason his lateral quickness was a problem.

Mavs fan thinking: Rick doesn't think like me, doesn't see some players the same way I do, and chooses different lineups then I would choose, therefore he is stubborn.

Different year, different players, same verse

According to the definition below, Rick would only be stubborn if he found fans' reasons for wanting a different lineup were better than his reasons for the lineup he picks.

From whatever dictionary Google uses: Stubbornhaving or showing dogged determination not to change one's attitude or position on something, especially in spite of good arguments or reasons to do so

Same starting lineup as pre-season.

Hopefully Powell can be decent against Ayton.
Really don't want to let the Suns start strong and get confident
