Justin went way up and THJ went way down in my book after last nights game. Interested to see what having Luka and KP out there reveals.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Boban get the start tonight against a guy like Drummond, particularly after Maxi's poor showing against Adams last night.

I'm telling you THJ is on his way out the door.

Everything he's said shows he's not on the same page. Lee should get his minutes while we trade THJ for Adams.

Man, everything he said in that interview was measured.  Sounds like THJ "candidly" was pissed that he was told he was coming off the bench.  They probably told him that they weren't going to have him ride the pine so they could entice someone to trade for him, and he is going out and chucking to show his next employer what he can do - just missing a lot of shots.  That looked painful for RC.

We've only seen limited footage so far, but I didn't like either one of THJr's performances during the scrimmage and the OKC-game. Obviously it's just preseason but he looks an awful lot like the shothunting SG he has been in NYK for the last years. A lot of output in general, too many shots on the move, difficult pullups, etc.

Unfortunately his contract is an absolute albatross. I don't see us getting Adams for him at all. We'd be a decent 1st round pick off in value here Imo. I'm more hopeful that we might find a deal around Lee's expiring + addition stuff that adds a little bit of value here.

Another avenue might be a huge blockbuster with CP3 added to the mix if he can show that he's still one of the best PGs in the game during his first months with the Thunder. I think that's one of the few ways we can create enough value to move THJr while also picking up a good starter like Adams. That being said, personally, I would not go down that line at all with CP3. That contract is gigantic and still runs for far too long. The risk wouldn't nearly be worth it for me.

I'm not a fan of THJ either. He always seems like he is out there chucking shots. Hopefully, that changes and he realizes his opportunity here and changes my opinion on him. But, i think he gets moved on TDL.  Huh

The Great

I knew it couldn´t be that hard to set up a proper message board in 2019. Not like scout and their 2012 standards. Big Grin

The Good

Luka and Kristaps looking like top players in the scrimmage.

Justin Jackson with the floater and 3pt game. You have those parts of your game down, you are an automatic starter on 70% of NBA teams in 2019.

DFS still doing everything besides making threes. The putback dunks, the nice drives and dishes. He´s really like Crowder. Just hope with so many three point shooters on the team, they can finally focus more on his strengths.

Kleber knocking down the 3 ball. I thought him (and Theis) had a very disappointing World Championships. But he should settle in nicely as an important roleplayer rather than a go-to-guy.

Curry did Curry things as expected.

Officially sub 6´0 JJB making a miracle recovery from the Achilles tear.

Reaves has a little irrational confidence guy in him, but he also likes to gamble on D, which could get him in Hot Dogs, I mean hot water with Carlisle, but...

The Ugly

...he has clearly passed Roby, who has not looked good and clearly been knocked down the pecking order already.

Boban has looked bad defensively I think a more mobile, but strong big like Ed Davis type would have been better.

THJ aka Takes Horrible Jumpers.

The Unknown

Haven´t seen that much from Delon Wright yet. If he comes good with the 3&D, the Mavs will have a very solid 7-10 man rotation, but they really cannot afford any injury setbacks.

This was epic. Thank you.

But how can he be "on his way out" (as others have said) with that contract? I can nearly guarantee he's going to be here all year, and packaged with our first rounder in the draft (since it can't be legally included in trade prior to that) for a good player.

I mean there have been countless of worse contracts than THJ's moved within the last 7 months without any issue.

THJ is by no means a Nic Batum or Chandler Parsons type contract. I think he's more like a Whiteside/Adams level. Severely overpaid, but can possibly have a role on a team. THJ for Adams gets OKC under the tax. There's also THJ+Lee for CP3, which also saves OKC money but would be such a rash win-now move.

Can’t wait to see Luka/Kp play together.  Also about other players/last night - its hard to judge how they will do because once you insert your 2 best players it completely changes how teams defend and react.  Those role players will look a lot different with these 2 in game.  I would throw last nights game away other than a good scrimmage to experiment.  Tonight will be the start of better evaluation but even then its a new lineup and will take time to gel.
