I love Seth, but the injuries are just too much. The differential in defense going from Seth to Richardson is pretty crazy.

Fantastic trade. Also secretly cleaned out $8M in guaranteed money for next summer. Cool

IF THE MAVS FIND A WAY TO LAND BUDDY THEN HOLY CRAP.

WE BASICALLY UPGRADE SETH INTO BUDDY AND SIMULTANEOUSLY GET A GREAT DEFENSIVE FORWARD.

IM SHOCKED

I actually kind of would be surprised. I don't think you can move BOTH Curry and THJ. The shooting spacing is too important.

What? No! The Mavs couldn't have two players in the backcourt who couldn't play defense. The starting lineup is KP-DFS-THJ-JR-LD.

First off, the rookies don’t matter right now. They are projects. Second, Curry is better than Richardson, who is a below average NBA player by every metric I could find. I’m good with a Curry trade, was just hoping to get an upgrade.

Correct.  Richardson will guard the opposing PG.  I could see Maxi or Powell starting and DFS coming off the bench situationally.  I think Omahen was on Curry for Richardson early on in our off-season conversations.

Richardson is a Duffy guy.

Same here. Seth I felt was our 4th most important player. His shooting was so important.

I pray the Mavs go and grab Buddy as well to replace that kind of shooting prowess.

We all do, but it's a small price to play for this amazing haul tonight.

He is a PLUS on/off court for the last three years.....the only metric that really matters IMO at the end of the day.

THEY GOT WAY BETTER.

THEY GOT MORE ASSETS THAN WE EXPECTED.

AND THEY GOT WAY YOUNGER.

IN ONE NIGHT.

And he was killer on open 3's the year before in Miami (where he actually got open 3's).
