3 first rounders and 2 pick swaps!????

I LOVE Holiday. Love him. And this deal makes Milwaukee much better this season. Possibly title favorites.

But I'm calling it now: I don't see this ending well for them. If Giannis bails, those picks are going to haunt them.

Jrue Holiday has reached a stature of being toward the bottom end of the top 20 players in the NBA. But he's no AD.

And he's a potential RENTAL (lets hope they have assurances he wants to be there, at least). And, your franchise guy could potentially walk in a year!

THIS IS INSANE

I'm telling you, this is what must have happened with the Jrue bidding war.

Milwaukee better hope that Jrue likes snow.

It was speculation that MIL must have super MAX confirmation from Giannis to sell their souls like this.

Will be interesting to see if Miami/Pat Riley still wait for Giannis or if they turn up their pursuit of Bradley Beal now.

edit:  not if ^ that tweet turns out to be true obv

As a calf, I always had a bad habit of reading the last chapter of a book first.  On the plus side, I always know how things are going to end up.  This one isn't even hard to predict.  Deep down inside, we all know how this is going to play out.

Super Max doesn't mean anything. "Giannis, sign the Super Max so we can get you maximum contract value. If we aren't a championship team and you are unhappy, we'll move you as soon as you say the word."

Yeah, if they have Giannis locked in, then at least the first two or three of those picks are going to be inconsequential.

Not all firsts are created equal.  If those guys stay in Mil, those will all be bottom 5 picks in the first.  You can usually buy a pick in that range.

If Giannis leaves, the trade is a disaster.

Tyler there forgot the Mavs' '17 #9 pick, DSJ. Mavs traded five first round picks for those two players. Luka was absolutely worth it. We'd better hope KP stays healthy enough to be worth it.

Not toward the end, necessarily.

Giannis and the Bucks could have a gentlemen's agreement.  Those swaps could be huge if this blows up in their face and he asks out.
