MEM passes the Mavs again in the standings.....

....DEN lost though, dropping to 17-15.

But honestly the bigger question is internal for the Mavs, not what other teams are doing.

DSJ is actually looking like a good NBA player right now.

16/1/5 7/13 FG, 2-5 3PA

My two favorite guys from the draft class are playing great as well.

I.Stewart. 6/11/2 3/3 FG in 21 minutes. +19. Pistons starting center Plumlee is -21. Perfect tank commander. Obviously closing the game.
S.Bey 17/6/2 6/10 FG, 5/9 3PA

Hope DSJ plays well. Knicks are a terrible franchise.  Also believe that what happened here was on Wes Mathew and DeAndre getting in his ear. You could see that in some games where Luka would ask for the ball and those two would look for DSJ.

Was glad to see those 2 get shipped out...what you said plus the shoving for stats, and no high fives...just a total freeze out from players who were not getting their job done...
Josh Green is a top 5 Mavs player...

Lakers and Clippers did their job against Portland and Memphis. Now Mavs have to do theirs against Nets.

JB makes a lot of sense for them.  AG makes a lot of sense for us.  We'd need to sweeten the tea, but that's a conversation worth having.

Absolutely no on trading JB for Gordon. JB is a better player and is cheaper. Who replaces what Brunson does for us in that deal?

No one does.  Trades should hurt for both sides and this definitely feels like a trade that cuts both ways.  JB starts for them while Fultz recovers and then moves back to his natural backup role.  AG starts for the Mavs and becomes an apex version of what Powell was.

JB is nice but he'll always be limited.  If I can get a quality, every game starter for him, it's worth the sacrifice.

He's playing well. Just had to get out of NY. Austin Rivers is nailed to the bench, so he's the next one to get shipped out.  Detroit has another decent rookie PG from Vanderbilt named Saben Lee. He was drafted under the recommendation of his coach Jerry Stackhouse, who use to play for the Pistons as well as the Mavs.  He had a career high 21 pts in his 1st career start in a win over the Magic. Pistons have some nice young pieces to work with for the future.

If only JRich were defending him.

That is crazy but Seth would throw a stinker in from time to time here.

It is funny how that works.    The sixers were so impressive against us....and they are really good.    Cleveland has had some moments though this year, but it just shows you that you can't take away much off one game.

Also, I would have taken Maxey at 18.  After some early good games, his minutes have really gone down.    I have just been watching the box scores.  Maybe Philly had some guys out when Maxey was getting consistent minutes?   My top two at 18 were Maxey and Precious.  Both have seen their minutes reduced.   Some rookies have shined, but I think it is important to realize it is not just the Mavs rookies who are not getting minutes.
