I can't see Houston trading Harden to Brooklyn. They don't have the assets. But what happens if Philly comes in and offers Simmons? I'm not sure they can afford to turn that down at this point.

They should trade him to OKC...they have the assets.

Let's expand that deal. This is what's gonna happen in 2 separate trades. Rubio/Green/Oubre/Adams for THJ/Wright/JJ/Powell/18/31/2022 1st pick swap option.

I don't see Harden to Brooklyn happening; that just isn't enough assets for a perennial MVP candidate and arguably best offensive player the last 8 years. You need at minimum a top 5 draft pick and a young, rising, stud to start the conversation.

LeVert is nice but I don't see all-star, and he's already 26 with some injury concerns. Brooklyn has good assets but none are premium. Davis to LAL wouldn't have happened without Lakers getting that #4 draft pick to supplement with 21 year old Ingram.

HOU's best play is to obviously dump Westbrook for air; honestly, Knicks make a lot of sense with their non-guaranteed contracts.

Let me try to be a bit of a fortune teller. Cleveland is rumored to be shopping Drummond. Charlotte needs center and is rumored to be interested in Westbrook. Trading #3 for him is too much and Houston doesn't have assets to pay back. Charlotte has plenty of cap space, so Zeller for WB works.

Trade 1 (actually happens after trade 2):
Batum and draft compensation (future picks) for Drummond

Trade 2 (didn't check, but I think money works):
Cha: Westbrook, THJ, #18
Hou: #3, Zeller, Wright
Dal: RoCo, Rozier

Charlotte becomes relevant in the east, at least to get to the playoffs. Houston gets high pick. We get two pieces that might work just fine and make us better. Again, we lose some 2021 flexibility (but contracts are not awful).

This would be the best thing so far this off-season...I would get to make Killer my World Famous Crow...
Josh Green is a top 5 Mavs player...

Hey, I'm only eating the crow if the Mavs get involved with the OTHER Phx player in the deal (or #10). That's the only way you'll prove to me that the rumor wasn't them going after the great Ricky Rubio. Chicago getting him and OKC keeping Oubre doesn't do that.

Nah if they want a veteran PG in Chicago they need to use the north-south factor. Rubio gets worse the further north you move on the map. Delon Wright on the other hand...I think there is only one logical trade target for the Bulls. Big Grin

I guess you missed why I promote Rubio to Dallas. There is a three team deal.

Chi: Rubio, #18, #31
OKC: THJ
Dal: LaVine

Well I apologize, this is obviously the correct answer.

I have no idea why OKC would agree to this, but maybe all the picks make Presti dizzy and he just wants a pick-free transaction. Cool
Even Chicago seems questionable, but maybe add Brunson to the Bulls +and a Mavs 1st and you got a deal.
