At this rate, he'll play much longer than 2 years.  I think he'll gun for 40K.  He also wants to play long enough to see his son in the league.

I don't subscribe to Lebron as GOAT or even 2nd, however that entire idea hinges on what criteria is used to compare players.   
In terms of quality NBA longevity, Lebron is fantastic and if you weight the length of careers heavily in your criteria King James only has Kareem in the conversation with him.

Yes.  It cements Luka being here for those years.

In terms of quality NBA longevity, Lebron is fantastic and if you weight the length of careers heavily in your criteria King James only has Kareem in the conversation with him.

I think it's between he and Wilt as the greatest athletes the sport has ever seen and that might extend to all of sports.  Got to throw my guy Bo Jackson if the conversation is expanded to all of sports.  If we find out that LeBron is a robot or an alien, it wouldn't surprise me.    The mileage on him and his level of play is unprecedented.

I think his luck (or deal with the Devil) will run out. I think a major injury is in his future (like Kobe with the Achilles tear) that will turn his career down quick. 

I could be dead wrong, but no way I invest in a player 36 years old like that with an unprecedented 50,000 regular season minutes and 11,000 playoff minutes (more minutes already than Kobe's whole career).

Robots don't get injured.  He could teach Luka.  Luka loves him and this would keep Luka here long term.  He has massive pull in recruiting players.  Hell, part of my pitch to get him here would be a future ownership stake in the team.  Like it or not, LeBron is going to have massive influence in the league well after his playing days are over.

As awesome as Lebron is though I think Wilt was at yet another level in terms of athleticism.  Chamberlain was giant at over 7 foot but that size basically never comes packaged with top class track & field decathlete bona fides, world class strength, agility and exceptional skill too.   

Most of Wilts best athletic years were not captured on video, just clips of rare footage.  The 100 point game isn't even viewable.  His real prime years are just written about in newspapers, like when he was dominating pro ball at 16, under a fake name, or flashing skills as Harlem Globetrotter.  

If you look at his agility and skill level at 17 just in a short clip its clear the jumping, speed, agility and skill would translate to any era.

Wilt was a beast Volleyball player too.  I'd definitely give him the nod.  LeBron still has question marks as we don't know where he'll end up.  On the other hand, Wilt didn't have the benefit of modern medicine, training and nutrition.  But I do think it's fair to compare the two which just speaks highly of the type of Athlete that LeBron is.

I don’t strongly disagree - he could fall off a cliff at any time. But, I don’t know that it’s a foregone conclusion, and he seems to have a lot left in the tank. Plus, even if you only get one year of him at his current level, I believe that is better than the sum of what you will get from Porzingis for the next three years combined.

I realize that it isn’t an “either/or” scenario regarding LeBron and Porzingis, but that is what gives me the perspective I need to answer the question.

It's certainly baseless.

It may be baseless, but I remember one year Lebron started the season really skinny.  He wasn't near the player he had been.  Within a month, possibly two, he was bulked up back to normal.  I wondered about it then.  I wonder what the drug protocol is...the testing...?
