Playmaking...

We’ve had a great off-season so far, but I think the need for creators is far greater than the needs for more bigs...

Luka, Brunson, Burke... who’s your next best playmaker?

Richardson is an underrated playmaker. 51st percentile in PnR ball handler on a PHI team who's offense was broken. Basically ranked around the same as Dennis Schroder and Patrick Beverly.

But I agree with you, we do need a more vet presence besides Luka on the playmaking side. A couple of ideas I think would be Bogdon, an obvious candidate, another player who could be available is Derrick Rose.

Richardson, KP, DFS, Hardaway are the secondary playmakers. You listed the 3 primary ones. It’s impossible to undervalue how important Luka is. He’s MVP favorite and the entire team goes through him. Brunson, Burke and Terry is enough for when he’s on the bench

Yeah, playmaking and solo shot creation aren't ideal, that's for sure, but it's WAY better than it was.

I LOVE it.  He's EXACTLY the kind of guy we needed.  He's the single toughest guy in the league and no chance anyone tries to mess with Luka with him on the court.

Lol I know.  But when they said they needed a tough guy, I didnt think they literally meant like a hockey goon who could beat everybody up.

I liked James Johnson coming out of college. I had no idea he had become an enforcer in the nba lol.

He was a multi skill player coming out of college. Maybe he can contribute more than some hard fouls on bitch ass Marcus Morris and other shady players.

remember when the TV rights kicked in 3-4 years ago? I’m guessing that lol.

A Rich Paul client isn't signing here unless Cuban is found in his house after committing suicide by shooting himself *twice* in the back of the head with a letter written in Crayon saying he wants LeBron to be the new owner.

Who's a Rich Paul client?

They lead the league in expiring deals. I know that some people love them but I prefer cost controlled assets on good contracts and players that actually help on the court.

Expiring deals are the literal definition of 'tradeable contracts'...flexibility is GOOD. They don't have to wait for them to expire and use the space. They could be setting themselves up for a BAD ASS trade deadline. If they DO let them expire, there are other ways to use the space besides signing free agents.

POSSIBILITIES are way, way better than signing meh players to bad contracts. I'm sorry, but I don't know what you expected. This off-season has been beyond my wildest imagination. I'm STOKED.

I expected two more rotation pieces instead of the continuation of the Giannis pipe dream. One with the MLE. One through a Wright trade. I wasn´t interested in flexibility I finally wanted to move on and improve the roster step by step instead of plan powder.

Man I was against Plan Powder V.1, but I’m ALL for it V.2.

Luka is the darling of the nba. After being robbed on his all-star selection in year one, everyone has pretty much come around on him as the next Lebron.

We’ve got a REAL shot at this with Giannis. And we have only one shot to take with Luka on his rookie deal.

I think the work Donnie has been doing is masterful. I mean he is painting a picture right now that could one day lead to a dynasty. And it’s not a pipe dream!

Imagine the player's we'd get if LeBron owned the team.

Don't know much about Johnson, but that video of him stopping LBJ was very fun to watch! I agree with Scott's lineup with Kleber starting over Johnson once KP is back. I think Maxi, Powell, Boban and Johnson should be able to hold it down until then. Wouldn't mind another big but I'm also fine without another one.

I can't believe the transformation our team is about to take on the court this year! We are really going to look like some of those old RC Ind/Det teams! We finally prioritized defense over offense only guys! I mean FINALLY!

Gotta say too, there isn't a ton out there in free agents, but Chi has made a ton of decisions to make me think there's still something gonna happen with them (trade-wise) and they are by far my FAVORITE trade partner.

If we do nothing else (which I think is highly unlikely), I think this offseason was a really good one. If we make another trade with the same thought process that has governed our actions to this point, this offseason will be amazing! I'd still like 1 more starter of JRich quality or better (thinking OPJ, who I would LOVE!). Finishing second in the RoCo trade race was a promising tidbit to make me think OPJ is on their radar.

Hmmmm, not fully sure about this title to the article. Losing DH is gonna take a toll IMO. Rondo leaving will be a hit considering his playoff run. I think it's gonna take more than Harrell to make them a better team.
