PLAYOFF GAME 1 (1st Rnd): DAL (0-1) @ LAC (1-0) | 110-118 loss
Yeah, you have to take the ball out of PG's hands by doubling him and making somebody else beat you.  It's the same situation as it was with Dame scoring 60 on us; you had to take the ball out of his hands, which RC did not do.

Now, let's watch the Blazers/Lakers series and see if Vogel and Lebron let Dame beat them.  I bet they figure out a way to keep his scoring down and force the rest of the Blazers to beat them.

Should I signed him past off season but Mavs screwed it up
he is not a RC guy pays with too much of an edge.

LULZ There's SH's answer.

I was proud of the effort.  Lots of silly mistakes that can be cleaned up.

THJ did revert a little in the 2nd half but that was after KP left and he was asked to do more.

Luka was the best player on the court.

Luka's got so much maturity and IQ.

Weeks before he got drafted, there was many that said that he was going to peak very soon. Because he has already played great basketball for so long, but after this game, his ceiling has yet to be reach.

Very excited to see more of Luka, and not just him, but along with how he improves his teammates.

My impression is that Luka pretty much needs an entirely different roster around him. I don’t see a keeper anywhere on the roster outside of him.  They were totally overmatched. Too many slow, awkward, unathletic players.

Maybe Brunson can stay as a backup point guard and Curry as a specialist.  The rest of them can go (though is like to see more MKG).

Cannot blame the players today. Some bad decision in the 4th quarter but they really played 5-8 in the 2nd half.

Yup no way you let him shot that there,  run some one at him pretty simple but  seems like he only does it to Harden for three quarters and it works.

Kinda wish Mavs hadn´t draft Doncic, so I could have walked away from this rigged shitshow league easily. Now I have to hope for Giannis to sign, so we can´t even be stopped 5 against 8.

Wonder why we did not see more from MKG in the 2nd half. Easily the best defender vs Kawhi and PG and even made 2/3 from 3.

Vogel's got one of the greatest basketball minds as his assistant. I'm sure they got a specific defensive sets to contain him.

If anything, I hope the Mavs take from this and realize they can actually beat these flopping Fakers. They wanna be the Lakers so bad that the refs are giving them the Lake show treatment.

Mavs had the game in control until the ejection. Hopefully they come into game 2 with confidence and big games.

Btw Luka just became the first player in NBA history to score 40 points in his play-off debut.

The other guys need to step it up to at least try to make this series interesting. To make it interesting I want to see KP attacking the Clippers' lack of rim protection and I want to see something resembling defense

Just for the record, when I said this before the game I wasn't predicting Porzingis to pull a DeMarcus Cousins special in his playoff debut. He needs to be smarter than that in the future. It hurt not having him out there

At least they recovered well after that bad early case of the playoff jitters but I don't think anyone is surprised we weren't able to get it done in the end. There are positives to build on here, though

Seeing MKG hit a couple of 3s was fun at least

I loved the game.

Clippers went in extremely physical and took breath away from Mavs for a couple of minutes, but I was impressed how they responded. Perhaps Luka going out even helped a bit, because Clippers toned down the aggression afterwards. They were specifically targetting Luka. We have seen some good defense in the second quarter. Despite high first half score, I was ok with the defense. KP ejection was obvious turning point of the game. A weak call, but KP should also be smarter after he got first technical. After that Mavs were shocked, cooled down on offense and Clippers eventually won.

Luka was great despite a couple of stupid turnovers and being shocked in the first few minutes. KP was good until he was tossed. Hardaway was ok for most of the game, but plays bad defense and tried a bit too much in the second half. DFS played well, was good on defense. If one more tripple went in, he would be on his season average performance. Kleber was asked to do too much on defense and couldn't connect on offense. Obviously Kawhi is too good of a player for him to guard (still, we have no other option but MKG). Curry did his part offensively, but it is difficult to play him as he is liability defensively as soon as he switches. MKG was a pleasant surprise with his two tripples and excellent defense. I wonder why he didn't play more. Wright is getting pushed out of rotation. Bobi was exploited on defense and wasn't used on offense. He was only effective when playing against Harrell, who is visibly out of shape. Trey Burke played well. He played defense, didn't force too much on offense, draw defense to him.

They were also shooting like 60 % from three at that time, including 2 MKG threes. But yes, they looked great and my feeling was they can win it. Unfortunately, refs stepped in.

Can't go unnoticed that Justin Jackson had 0 minutes. That's a relief. I'm assuming since MKG hit his 3's that he will continue to play his backup minutes. Delon should be the next one to lose minutes.
