WFAA Interview: Does Luka Want to Spend his Career w/One Team?
#1
Awesome segment on Luka by WFAA with his mom.

https://www.wfaa.com/article/sports/1-on...df9516f454

Best part?

What has been the toughest adjustment?

"Maybe, for me, because I didn't have friends," Mirjam admitted. "When I came there, I was alone. I was living alone because I didn't live with Luka."

In time, she did make friends and she believes Dallas could be her and Luka's first, last and only stop in the NBA.

"I'm honestly pretty sure it's going to be long-term," Mirjam said.

Does he just want to spend his career with one team?

"Yeah," Mirjam affirmed. "Yeah, he feels great there, so he wants to stay for sure."

If Luka becomes another Dirk, Dallas sports has/will officially been spoiled for 40 years.
14x All-Star, 12x all-NBA, 1x MVP, 1x Finals MVP, 1 NBA Championship: Dirk Nowitzki, the man, the myth, the legend.

I mean, it’s all true, until it isn’t. There will most definitely come a time when his want to stay here will be tested, what happens then? That can only be answered in time, for now, I’m glad both he and his mother have found a home here!

Mavs have set themselves up for success with the KP move and not dishing out any terrible contracts. Even for those who maybe dislike Wright's deal for example it's by no means some terrible deal. Powell's is the worst but is by no means going to prevent Mavs from producing a winner.

I think Mavs just need to continually put Luka's team in a place to be successful and I believe they will do so. With KP and Luka together you really don't have to have a third star if one's not obtainable. Solid role players can work around that twosome for years to come if they can both stay healthy.
