Preseason Game 3: Dallas Mavericks (0-2) vs. Los Angeles Clippers (2-1)
That makes sense if I pretend I didn’t see what I saw. Thanks for considering my point.
Pessimism doesn’t make you smart, just pessimistic.

I find it unlikely that in the middle of Timmy's 6th season (when he was top candidate for 6th man of year) the Mavericks decided to start messing with his shot.  I'm not arguing something didn't go wrong (I'm no scout) but it doesn't make sense for Mavs to be the reason.

I find it even more unlikely that the Mavericks are trying to mess with the shot of one of the greatest shooters of all time.  My guess would be that quick release is part of Klay's game.  Its hard to get off 9+ threes a game without a speedy release.

In complete agreement.

Bertans 3pt%
16-17 SAS 39.9
17-18 SAS 37.3
18-19 SAS 42.9
19-20 WSH 42.4
20-21 WSH 39.5
21-22 WSH 31.9, DAL 36.0
22-23 DAL 39.0
23-24 OKC 41.7, CHA 37.5
Career: 39.6
(in red stints below career avg)
How on Earth can anyone look at those numbers and blame the Mavs?  He was having the worst shooting season of his career coming into Dallas.  His 3pt% imcreased bigtime in Dallas.  In 21-22 +4.1%, 22-23 +3.0%.
...not to mention he only played 67 games total in DAL (only 14% of his career)

Re: Klay
How can anyone really think Klay would let an assistant coach mess up his shot, probably top 5 all time, in his 12th season?  That's fantastical.
