GAME 5 Playoffs 2024: Dallas Mavericks (2-2) vs. Los Angeles Clippers (2-2)
#81
Mavs played well, they just can't buy a three outside of Maxi. Clippers are honestly lucky, they should be down by 20 right now.

I 100% agree with Barkley’s point at halftime, and have been saying similar things around here for years.

Donnie Nelson said something similar on the radio the year before he got fired and got roasted for it, but he was right, too.

Quick summary? I muted them.

Apparently, Ty Lue is 5-0 in turn games when tied 2-2, and has never lost one of those series.

Didn’t like that note.

I started to look for Kidd’s record in that same situation, but then I remembered he’s just watching like us.

Barkley basically said Luka needs to play fast and not hold the ball. He said the role players don't want to play hard when they don't touch the ball.

Luka spends too many possessions dribbling out the clock and then jacking up a 1-on-1 3. They go in, but it’s demoralizing for his teammates, who go long stretches without getting to touch the ball.

He needs to trust his teammates and give the ball up earlier.

OR, if he’s creating, he needs to make quicker decisions early and not dribble the varnish off the floor first.

Either way, his teammates have a chance to get in rhythm and are then more engaged in the game, overall.

Mavs have a chance to open it up here but very careless play.

Harden and George aren't doing jack. They need that to continue.

Kyrie was pissed after getting called for most bullshit playoff foul I've ever seen

Nice play by Luka taking Zubac one on one

That phantom foul on the loose ball is as bad as I’ve ever seen. The same official is calling every single foul on us

Refs aren't even hiding their attempt to get the Clippers back in this, fortunately for us it's not working so far

Mavs have the Clippers flustered. Holding them to one shot, and all those 3's they made last game are no where to be found.

Knee on knee. But it's a foul because Mann is acting like he was shot.

DJJ is fast becoming one of my favorite Mavs.
