Game 37: Minnesota Timberwolves (25-10) vs Dallas Mavericks (22-15) WIN!!!!!!!!

Yeah, the tide has turned because of the Mavericks’ inability to get good shots in the last couple of minutes.

Jones being a non-threat as a shooter, despite all the shots he’s made this year, is a big part of that.

Kidd lost this game. Cannot pull Luka out with a hot hand at the end of the third

Just too much size and length taking over for Minnesota in the 4th quarter

Need to foul out Towns

...and hit a couple of those open threes.

Nice, Powell! Needed that.

This really hurt.

Have to make them pay for shading the defense towards the threats.

Maybe they’ll hit some down the stretch here.

Nice call by Kidd to give Luka a little extra rest on that possession.

Short roll executed perfectly by Dwight Powell on that last Kyrie shot, BTW.

Jones has to shoot better if he’s going to be in the playoff rotation.

I’m starting to get worried about that.

oh, for sure. He does so many things well that this team needs. that’s why I hope he can shoot well enough to stay out there.

That's game! Just a bizarre final minutes by Minnesota, not letting the offense go through Edwards but I'll take it.

Great game, felt a lttle bit as a playoff game. Mavs stars doing what they are supposed to do. Defense was good. Rest of team shot 4 of 20 from three (lots of them wide open), so even lots of reserve there. I think everyone worked hard for this one.

I’m torn between DJJ and Powell for the Dirkie.  Drawing fouls on Minnesota bigs is worth about 5 points each and a lot of those easy inside drives are helped by Powell Screens.  But, DJJ crushed it on D and made tons of big plays.

I feel like Kyrie has earned a moratorium on Kyrie mock trades for a while.  The biggest reason why we shouldn't trade him for Dejounte Murray is that Kyrie is much better than Dejounte Murray.

DJJ is one of our 5 best players and so will have to be in our playoff rotation.

Dwight Powell can still contribute in important games.

There is so much good that came out of this win.  It's nice to know that we can beat one the league's best teams while missing a couple key contributors.  Kyrie and Luka together give us a shot in any playoff series.
