Game 35 Dirkie thread: Kyrie Irving!
#1
The referees were on a romp during the first half doing everything they could to facilitate the flow of the game. But they cooled off the second half--a bit. I can't abide taking a half off. If you're going to play in the game you might as well play the whole game.

To that point: How about Josh Green? He can make some plays! He can also run off and hide sometimes...

When a team (not the referees) are on a romp you might expect that everybody is in double figures and all the scrubs get to play meaningful minutes. Not so! Luka and Kyrie accounted for 70 points. Spread out over the rest of the team few had double figures. Jaden Hardy had 11 points in 11 minutes. Did he earn the Dirkie? I'm still thinking....

Well...THJ scored 14 in 23 minutes. Dirkie worthy? I'm thinking about that, but not too hard.

I guess I'll flip a coin. Heads Kyrie. Tails Luka. Neither one--Jaden Hardy.

Damn....LUKA!

That Portland team is a clumsy menace. I just hope DLive doesn’t miss more than 3-4 games. Kyrie actually led the team in rebounds. Guess I’ll give it to him.

Going to give it to Kyrie for his super hot shooting and some incredible highlights. Luka deserves it too.

I am so mad Lively got injured by this terrible terrible Portland team. I hope they rot for the next 10 seasons in the dregs of the NBA.

Kyrie Irving during his postgame interview:

“I can’t be passive at all, that’s not my personality. I really wanna come out and set the tone defensively and offensively”

I was going to vote Kyrie but then I saw an option to vote for the refs. Its not often the refs can be the star of the game.

That was the hardest Mavs blowout win to watch I've ever seen. I'll vote for the refs, though Kyrie would get my player vote for setting a tone

Scoot Henderson is low key dirty is what I learned from this game. Took out Lively and could have taken out another player with that leg kick out in the final minute

Incredibly dirty imo.

There's one thing playing physical. Its another going for plays that have a high risk at injuring someone. It's easy to tell the difference and Scoot is an idiot.

I turned it off with like a minute and a half left. Any one have replays of those plays?

Here's Lively's injury. I am so thankful it was just a sprain and not something worse.

Here is the video of Scoot just sticking his feet underneath guys. For whatever reason the NBA website is hit or miss so try and refresh a few times if the video isn't loading. If it still isn't loading, the timestamp is 45 seconds left in the 4th.
