So in these situations where you have to add a lot of bodies together to make the salaries match it means you need to offload some bodies to an additional team or two. But then to do so you need to either a) include players teams want or b) add more picks to make it all work.
I wouldn't mind Mavs being a "dump" team (as they were seen last summer) provided they are getting a first round pick out of the deal.
Celtics would prob need to give up 2 picks to get Capela (Grizz would be the valuable one they own). Would they give up a third to find a dump team (aka Mavs?). Mavs could take Theis for example for the Bucks 2020 pick which will be a very low pick obviously. 3 picks sounds like a lot, but 2 of them won't be very good and Capela is better than anything they'd get in the draft considering Memphis is no longer a lottery team.
If Mavs could do *something* like that (which for some reason they have been hesitant to do in the past) they could have 3 picks to trade come this summer. 2 first round picks + GSW + a some young guys they could flip for something better.
