I'm not totally ruling this out as it would be Mav's like to grab a Schwartz client prior to his option year and sign him longer term in the summer. The packages being mentioned for Drummond are awful.

New article from the Detroit beat writer for The Athletic. Basically explains why the offers haven't been good:
"Drummond has indicated he could decline his $28.7 million player option for next season and test free agency. The Pistons would rather not have him leave for nothing, and are seeking a first-round pick or a promising young player in a trade. But a team considering trading for Drummond may not have the assurance he will commit beyond this season. Giving up an asset for a gamble doesn’t seem likely unless an organization is desperate or willing to hand Drummond an enticing deal in the open market.
That alone puts Detroit at a disadvantage in discussions.
The Pistons aren’t interested in paying Drummond $28.7 million next season. If he does leave, Detroit will have more than $60 million coming off the books by the summer. That’s intriguing to the organization’s fairly new front office, hence the willingness to get a trade done even if it only brings expiring contracts back in return.
Teams aren’t offering first-round picks right now. On the surface, Detroit could look like it loses any trade that just involves expiring contracts, but the prospect of securing that much salary-cap space may turn into a win in the long run."
