I don't mind Luka/Kyrie/Exum getting some minutes together. That could be a dangerous lineup to pull out late in games. But the rotations are a bit odd when they all start. You have to do a lot of juggling to keep 2 of the 3 on the floor at all times.
And as Mavs2021 said, backup centers routinely come cheaper than this. Green for Gafford is terrible asset management in my book.
Ok, well that's where we differ. Like you, I also think Green playing up to potential is a good thing. I just think there's never been a season in 4 years where that's been true. I'm pretty comfortable with Exum though - and I'm guessing he stays where he is in the starting lineup.
And if decent backup centers are easy to get, we'd have one. I can certainly find things to like about Green, particularly his speed, but I don't feel a pressing need to have his energy over a rim protector and rebounds.
