So 5 out of the 9 wins came against teams literally trying to lose, or were injured beyond belief. 2 came against the Lakers who were one of the worst teams in the NBA pre-trade and didn't have Davis. The NYK win was incredibly impressive, but took a Luka miracle and a 60 piece to just eek it out in OT.
Further in games where Wood started but Luka was out, Mavs posted a 0-4 record with losses against the Bulls, Cavs, OKC, and Blazers. And this was at the point of the season where all of them weren't even close to playoff positioning.
And in the nine wins, Powell actually had a better On-Off than Wood. Hard to argue Wood starting is somehow the reason for those wins when another center actually had a greater impact on winning. I'm with FG. Ready to move on.
