He will be somewhere else next season and will see how much blame the Mavs deserve. I left the season thinking we didn't help our players putting them in good positions where they could find success. So I guess I am not sure if Wood or the Mavs (probably a combination of the two) deserve the bulk of the blame.
I was thinking of the teams who would make you say Aw Crap if Wood were to sign with them. I think the Heat would be my #1. I do wonder what he prioritizes this offseason and what type of contract he gets. Even though it appears the market was nil for him at the deadline, I could see teams talking themselves into him and going aggressively at him this summer.
I wouldn't say he failed. 20/10/2.5 at 40% at 3pt when he started certainly isn't a fail. I think Kidd had a disastrous season. First letting the FO flub up resigning JB. Then allowing the McGee signing. Then never getting a rotation that worked with Wood. And for a grand faunally, effing up adding Kyrie to the rotation. Let's face it, the dude can't scheme himself out of a wet paper bag.
