GAME 48: LAC (25-24) @ DAL (25-23) | 98-112 loss
#21
Sort of fell a part late.  Clips made plays too.  After a first half of ball movement and some fast breaks, the second half was mostly isolation with no ball movement.

Agree Chicago. The offense became very stagnant.

Tough lineup to match up against for Dallas.

If this clippers team can stay healthy, they are going to be really tough.  Staying healthy for an extended run may be challenging though

Dinwiddie would be the 4th or maybe even the 5th scorer on this Clippers team

Looked like Green had a dunk there. Made it harder for himself than it had to be. Still needs to work on changing speeds. It’ll come to him. Not his best work today.

Might be a problem that we basically only play seven guys, while the Clippers played nine. This game was definitely played with play-off intensity.

So would enyone, except Luka and Wood.

This team is very limited (except Luka and Wood). Hardaway have his moments, the same is with Spencer, but both of them would probably be in the Norman Powell and Reggie Jackson type of role on the Clippers.

And that's the difference.

Offense is currently the same problem for the Mavs as it is defense.

no wood. no offense. defense not set. no defense. no rim protection.

You need additional player able to score in addition to SD and Luka. thats where luka cant be doubled. It can be wood or Hardy. Today there was none. Offense then stalls. we are not set on D. and always playing behind.

In the course of a quarter and a half SD went from team leading +11 to ending the game -8. A -19 stretch to end the game. Oof.

Honestly, this game wasn't the end of the world. I can handle a tough loss against a good team where the outcome is in doubt halfway through the 4th. Way better than the stretch we've seen recently, that's for sure.

The free throw shooting is just disgusting, however.

There will be a move made in February. Too much doo doo on the court. Just need new faces at this point. Luka won’t let us keep the same roster

Lets face it, the Clippers own us. Mavs have lost 4 out of the last 5 and 7 of 10. This team needs a shakeup at the TDL or they might be looking at the play-in instead of the playoffs.

Clippers will always be a bad matchup. Once Lue realized that small ball was the way to go, they started destroying us. Just nothing we can do against them.

Don't want to see either GSW or the Clips in the play-in, they will be dangerous

Powell was +6 and is capable of playing vs. small ball, only 21 min. Mistake imo

Because he was also key in finding solutions for 4vs3 situation when Luka is doubled. He is guarding the perimeter better than Luka, SD and Bullock anyway.

The plodding Mavs just wore down.  The officials kind of sucked. And, Kidd overplayed Luka against Miami and it showed in this game. The most disappointing regular season in Mavs history continues.  It’s getting late early. Falling to the play-in would be a disaster for a team without a 1st round pick.

There willl be a move, cause Cuban does not want the embarrassment they are headed toward of Brunson All-Star, Porzingis opt out, and converting the 12th pick to the Knicks after a play-in loss to *insert worst possible opponent*.

The Cowboys kick extra points like the Mavs shoot free throws.

Off topic, the Cowboys defense is playing better than I expected against that loaded 49ers offense. If Dak quits throwing picks (2 more today) they might have a chance Tony Pollard is lost for the rest of the game with a ankle injury.

Dak is terrible QB on the field.  If you could match is personality and leadership traits with Romo's on-field ability, you'd have a damned good QB.  Alas...

Crazy that he almost never knows where he's going with the ball, pre-snap. Is he just not smart enough, or is Kellen Moore a terrible OC? Prescott just looks confused out there most of the time.
