Probably could have had 60-20-20 if THJ and Bullock made some open threes  Rolleyes

Give some credit to Kidd for double-teaming Randle for the whole 4th quarter/OT.

Kidd had THJ on Randle.
Randle was chewing THJ early on.
And Kidd had to wait until the 4th to adjust.
No thanks.

I never once left an NBA arena early and have been rewarded a bunch of times. This is a great reminder of the benefits of this policy.

That's a generous tip.

Did I just hear JKidd right? He credited JMcGee with that tip in the presser? He's so determined to be right about that guy, he has to make things up. All the while more alienation of Wood's contribution.

Not interested anymore with Kidd post game pressers.
If this is really true, then it's one more against him as a coach for not paying attention, and one more point against the Mavs on a remote possibility of a Wood extension/signing.

IMHo this team needs a new coach regardless if Wood is here or not.

Well you need to do it like me, and only start watching in the 4th quarter. Big Grin

Haha in the last 20 years, teams were 0 for 13.884. when down nine with 35 seconds left. Only Luka and only the Knicks.

He credited McGee with the rebound tip that Wood actually was responsible for that led to the game tying shot? Or credited McGee with the tip to start OT?

Hardaway is a frustrating watch...especially on cold nights.

But he has been working very hard.  I thought he did fine on Randle.   Most of the shots Randle hit in the first half (not all on Hardaway) were shots that I am perfectly fine with Randle taking.  He just made them.   Hardaway also had a charge against Randle.

A lot to ask Hardaway and Powell to guard Randle with us being shorthanded.  For the most part, I thought both did fine.

I wouldn't put too much thought in what was said in post game press conferences.   Wood had some big time plays late.   But I thought for the first time all season, McGee looked engaged and energetic on the court.  It was only 3 minutes, but maybe it is a start.   I am not very confident it is a turning point.   But in all likelihood he is going to be here for awhile unless he is a salary match in a bigger trade.   Might as well try to feed him some positive press.

I realize other things happened last night that might overshadow everything and everyone else...but I'm going to focus on some of the other stuff.

Wood led the team (OK, anyone on the team who played more than 2:43) with a 108.9 D-Rating last night (team was 115).  As I've pointed out, this has happened several times in the last couple of weeks.  He was outstanding in both Cleveland games and against Portland.  Bad in both Minnesota games and above average against LAL.

Powell led the team (OK, anyone on the team who played more than 6:36) with a 15.2 Net-Rating last night (team was 4.8)

Dinwiddie was 2nd to Powell at 10.7...arguably the unsung hero of the evening.

We survived the Frank and Bertans minutes pretty well.

The reason we played those guys as much as we did and played a good number of two-big minutes (two big minutes we were +4 for regulation and +11 when you add OT) is because Reggie's minutes were a disaster.  O-Rating was a team low 100 when Reggie was in the game.  Net rating was also team worst -21.6.  I'm not sure two-big is necessarily about the bigs.  It may be that without DFS and Green and with Reggie playing so poorly, Kidd has to do something.

Totally agree, it felt like Kidd was actually just playing what he felt were his best players. It was a welcome sight.
