GAME 28: CLE (18-11) @ DAL (14-14) 90-105 loss
#1
Heart
The Mavericks have won seven of the past eight meetings against Cleveland. They will face the Cavs twice in the next four days, as Dallas hosts Portland on Friday before starting a four-game road trip Saturday in Cleveland.

Mitchell is averaging 29 points on 49.6 percent shooting, with 41.9 percent from 3-point range -- all career bests.

Cleveland's league-leading defense is allowing 105.1 points per game with small forward Lamar Stevens a key part of the effort. The third-year pro is averaging 6.7 points and 3.7 rebounds.

The Cavaliers are 5-9 on the road compared to 12-2 at home.
Mavericks reserve guard Josh Green has missed the past two games with a sprained right elbow and is listed as day-to-day.

@"KillerLeft"  prediction: Green comes back to support THJ as he scores a career high 63 (21 3's) en route to a Mavs victory (147-32).

If that happens, I'll go outside in 25 degrees wearing my Speedo.  Smile

Most interesting thing about this game (unless it's miraculously a Dallas win) is who sits. Trade moratorium on newly-signed guys ends tomorrow.

Maxi out tonight as well.   It seems like we get into this dilemma every year.  Maxi is best as a rotation piece but his skillset works really well and when this team is humming, his availability and production is really needed.  But due to injury concerns you can't overplay him and you always have to worry about him missing games.  Mavs really need to develop a player who has similar strengths as insurance.

Rough start.  Lethargic.

Funny how Harper said with two rotation guys out that he wouldn’t be shocked if even McGee got some playing time.  Great signing guys.

Zero respect for DFS or Bullock. Just leaving them wide open.

Hung in there after a rough start.  Just feels like we are going to need a real good shooting game to keep it close.

extended run for Wood as the solo big and as expected it was highly successful

Bertans seeing the floor ahead of Hardy. Great.

Also Ntilikina three lay-up attempts make me feel superior to an actual NBA player.

Frank would have had a nice run if he finished two nice drives.  That is one of his drawbacks…very little explosion.  At least he is trying to be aggressive.

Bullock is heating up. 45% from 3 over his last eight games.

At least Love is playing like shit, so Cuban doesn´t get any dumb ideas.

Important stretch coming up.  Mavs feel like they are teetering a little.  Need to keep it close.

Really feel the absence of Green in this game.  Maxi too with their bigs.

Well that didn’t go well.

Give jaden run.  We need a spark.

Luka has started to turn his anger from the refs to his team mates. He´s looked like a petulant child.

Even when not complaining, Luka's not going back quickly on defense.
A missed shot and he takes a few moments for him to sprint back.

Agreed.
Can't see his own faults.
Should be called out too.

That behind the back pass to Timmy for the corner three was ridiculous.

Luka slander will be tolerated tonight.  He looks like checked out in this game.  The energy, the body language, the effort, the play…it’s all bad in that first half.

5min 0/0/0/0/0 -12. Need more Bertans.

It´s like Bertans paid McGee from his own $80M contract to escape any criticism for his own shit play.

He had the one game against Denver with a +21. In the remaining 55 minutes he´s whooping minus 56.
