If Jokic's number seems bananas.  I wrote a post in one of the other threads about the middle tier, near stars and what their value is in roster building and these max contracts are a big reason for my line of questioning.

I only typed that because of the vague wording from Woj/Marks.

Marks makes it seem like a done deal, Woj not so much. So I'm leaving open the possibility of a SnT but just with IND now. No more convoluted KD trades.

Gotcha....Still crazy money.

Yes, it's unclear at this time. But, since they technically don't have the space yet, and because of Woj's wording, I'm thinking he hasn't signed an offer sheet yet.

This could just mean, like @"omahen" said, that other things are finally being worked out, up to and including the Durant stuff.

Odds are though PHX just matches and forces a SnT for Turner/Hield.

KD remains a Net now 100% imo.

Nope.  Can't S&T.  Can't trade Ayton until Jan, either.

I'll bet they walk.

Similar situation to Mavs & Jalen, except Ayton is restricted.

He hasn't signed an offer sheet. This is all "hurry up, because we're doing this" posturing from IND.

I'd be REAL surprised if the Suns just let Ayton walk for nothing. If anything what I think is likely is that they create a SnT with IND so IND doesn't have to stretch waive anyone, and the Suns still get some players.

Win-Win there.

At worst they match and trade him Jan.

Agreed. Even Sarver won't let him walk for nothing.

But, IND knows that a match is possible, and they CLEARLY want the player. I don't think they press the issue just to play chicken with PHX.

To me, this will be a sign and trade by the end of the day. Very likely this news is coming out because they already have something semi-lined up. Fun times.

See, that's from the Suns, who don't like what their part of the sign and trade seems to be, so they're threatening (in a very unrealistic fashion) to match, knowing that's not what IND or Ayton want.

There will be a sign and trade. I'll make a sig bet with anyone.

They don't want the player, the player doesn't want them, and they damn sure don't want the player to cause them to pay luxury tax.

Turner/McConnell to Dallas
Powell/THJ to Phoenix
Ayton to Indiana

Actually makes even more sense than a direct follow-up trade between the Mavs/Pacers after Ayton signs with the Pacers, since Phoenix has a use for both Powell/THJ, unlike Indiana, if we are honest.

Also Goga is $4.76M so the Pacers might look to dump a promising young player for nothing. Luckily we don´t even have a shitty TPE from Brunson. Cry

Can't he veto any trade in his 1st year? I remember I read that somewhere

So they keep Goga.

That´s Ayton, Goga, Smith, Theis and Jackson. There is no f´n way Myles Turner is a Pacer past TDL, probably not even at the start of the season.

Any useful pieces among the castoffs for our 15th roster spot?
