AROUND the NBA: Lakers Fire Darvin Ham
These playoff games are awesome! Murray at the buzzer!

The Lakers just can't beat them! The Pelicans ended up with the much better matchup as the 8th seed

Sixers and Lakers were fabulous tonight. Just couldn’t close it out and lost in two of the most difficult losses you can have.

Joker had 27 pts, 20 rebs and 10 assts. He's the best in the game.

That Jamal Murray game winner sealed it.

Home teams are now 11-0.

Refs did everything they could for the Lakers. Nuggets could have used five challenges just in the first half. The ridiculous amount of calls the give James at age 40 is absurd

Something about these matchups or the way they’ve changed the officiating in the postseason has brought us to a statistical absurdity where not a single road team has won a game. Mavericks need to break through tonight. Season on the line.

I think I prefer the way Mavs lost compared to Lakers or Philly losses. With Mavs I have a feeling that they have plenty left in the tank and I am optimistic they will show a very different face in game 2. I will be very dissapointed if they don't or if they lose. With Philly and Lakers I have a feeling that they gave their best and still wasn't enough.

I agree. Gut wrenching losses at the end of games are the worst feeling.  The Lakers loss was on them for blowing a 20 pt lead. Philly was in their game all the way and had a chance to win until the end.  I still wonder why Nurse didn't call a TO?  Lowry is a vet; he was the in bounder and he didn't call one either.

Nurse said he signaled to the ref for a TO.

I feel so sad for the Lakers. It’s so clear that the league’s officiating is incredibly biased against them. It’s almost like there’s a conspiracy!

They're not used to the shoe being on the other foot, because many, many, many times this season it's been on theirs. Not sure why the league has chosen to reverse itself now.

Just looking at the scratch marks on Jokic's arms one has to assume that he was in a cage fight with Wolverine. Would love to see a game where he gets the same kind of touch fouls that LBJ and Reaves are used to.

I love watching playoff games and seeing how steps up and who doesn't. Sometimes it is people you wouldn't expect. I just hope we don't have a few on our team.

Personally, no matter what happens, I hope we, the community, remember that this has become a much younger team over the past couple of seasons and that some of the key players don't have much playoff experience, if any. It's a completely new level for some of them.

Remember how bad Brunson was in his first playoffs? Everyone was so quick to write him off, and then he literally carried the team through the first round the following season.

someone mentioned Batum may be retiring at the end of the playoffs. He can still play. Would love him here.

He is someone Josh and especially Omax should be watching on how smart he is defending. He is so smart.

Reports say they missed two fouls in Maxey and muse should have been given the timeout. Ouch

That team is toast.
