AROUND the NBA: ATL Jumps from #10 to #1 in Lotto| Pistons Mull Firing GM

Not as many, I don't think.

What makes Curry singular is his ability to play OFF ball. Very few players can be weaponized in that way to such an extent.

Not to mention that we are talking about a giant gap when it comes to shooting ability and the resulting scoring efficiency. Peak Curry was the most efficient scoring leader in league history. +12% rTS. Peak Lillard is in the +6% range. That would be one of the worst seasons in Curry´s career.

Very surprised Zion is a starter. He's missed a lot of games. I would have chose Sabonis or Markkanen.

This Sinclair bankruptcy is a big deal for the nba(and mlb, nhl). Could be a huge loss for owners of these teams(of which mavs are one of 16). Definitely something to keep an eye on. It’s possible the league buys the rights or gets an ownership stake in Bally

What Kamm said. They have Luka as the #1 ranked player in the NBA, but he’s currently playing like the 15th best player.

McConnell is playing real nice for Rick.  Over the last 10 games he is averaging 14, 7 and 5

Boy,  after a 11 game win streak Memphis has hit the skids about to lose their 5th straight to the T-Pups. Wonder if it coincides with Adam's going down? Shows you how fast fortunes can change.

Pacers really miss Haliburton. They're 1-9 since he went down, yikes...

He should be an All-Star Game selection.

What do we make out of Wood and SD finishing top 10 in player voting. Are their peers higher on them than fans and media? Mavs voting for each other? Both popular and with good connections?

Makes me think in the trade I proposed with the Knicks that we need our 23 first back in the trade, maybe even another first for including DFS.

Top 10 by position and by conference.  So, really closer to top 40 overall according to the player vote.  As I look at the lists, they kind of make sense to me:

Out West at guard the order is Luka, Curry, Ja, SGA, Lillard, Fox, Booker, ANT, SD, McCollom, Simons.  In the East, those with more votes include Irving, Mitchell, Brown, DeRozan, Harden, Tyrese, Garland, Brunson, Ball, Holiday and LaVine.  He finished with more votes than Trae, Herro, Beal and FVV, but voters weren’t comparing Dinwiddie to those guys.  If they were, he might have fallen closer to the mid 20’s.  As is, he was the 21st highest vote getting guard in the player vote.

In the front court, the order in the west is Jokic, Lebron, Zion, Markkanen, Sabonis, George, AD, Grant, JJJ and Wood and Steven Adams are tied.  Right behind Wood are Bridges, Ingram, Kawhi and Draymond.  Injuries and sucker punches probably help Wood by a few slots.  In the East, those getting more votes are Giannis, Durant, Embiid, Tatum, Bam, and Paschal.    The top 4 in the east are just so dominant that the other vote getters got fewer votes than the guys further down the list in the more divided West.  Next in line were Butler, Paulo, J. Allen, Randle Bojan, Mobley and Vuc.  Wood would probably land somewhere in there, which again puts him low to mid 20’s overall.

Still, top 45 or so players is probably higher than most of us would have ranked either.
