Everytime I come back and read the thread titles, I have to remind myself.

Do you guys ever think about how much fun it would be to have a front office who consistently makes good moves?

While obviously in different stages of roster building, Denver and OKC both do great in the draft and consistently make moves to improve.

Like getting of off KP and get two players to contribute in the POs to get us to the WCF?

Nico has done well, but we can't call him consistent after 1 year. Obviously, Donnie was not consistently good.

I'm not sure about Nico doing well. We really don't know what who has done what.

It's more like the Nuggets gave Porter a max extension and OKC hit 3 times the Jackpot in the draft und are in a total rebuild again like 7 years later.

No frontoffice is good consistently. There is so much luck and risk involved.

You can see better franchises and not so good ones. I tend to see us a better one.

I'm with you on this. Let's see what he pulls out of his hat this offseason. He can't stand pat and lose ground in the West.

Very light protection for the pick. So OKC took 8 mil of bad salary and paid #30+2 SRP for lightly protected 2027 pick. Doesn't seem a great deal for Denver anymore.

(1) Keith Smith on Twitter: "On the latest Lowe Post @ZachLowe_NBA reported the protections on the pick DEN is sending to OKC are top-5 in 2027, 2028 and 2029. That means that trade will happen in the window between the draft and free agency. Teams can't trade 2029 picks until after the 2022 draft is done." / Twitter

Yes, that is a nice haul.  The pick should be better than #30.   And there is a chance the Denver team looks much different in 4-5 years.  Nice trade.

OKC has a lot of these picks with some kind of protections on them.  Some will not pan out, but sometimes all it takes is for one to hit jackpot for you.
