He has a neutral value imho. He is not good enough to be leading PG for anyone hoping to become a contender. Porter can be very good - it is a risk but worth taking. At worst he is large expiring in the summer, so we don't need to use THJ to match salaries when hunting that third star.
Porter doesn't expire this summer, but next summer. His contract is elephantine. He's hurt a lot and has not looked good when he played. Wright is a tradeable piece, whereas Porter is a massive albatross just a couple of steps removed from John Wall. I do not give Wright in a package for Porter unless Markannen, WCJ (dream), Satoransky, or Chicago's first is coming back with him.
