No, I wouldn't be pissed.

I have said a couple different times, if the guy is GOOD or DAMN good, I am fine. I am just trying to be crystal clear that I value the #18 pick VERY highly. But I will trade it for the right guy.

Ok, so we’re basically on the same page, then. You value this draft a little more than I do, but we’re very close. What you’re describing above is what I think their goal is, tbh.

If the ONLY benefit of a move NOW is to clear cap, that’s a dumb move. At no point has it crossed my mind that they’ll do that this off season. I think they want to do BOTH things simultaneously.

If you’re cool with Wright and #18 for Schroeder, then my gut tells me you’ll be happy. I don’t know if they’ll look at that, specifically, but I think it would take something that size or bigger to get them to pull the trigger.

I could be wrong, obvs. Just a feeling.

If they include the 18th pick in a trade I hope it will be for a starter.

Schroder would be the Mavs' starting two. Luka-Schroder-THJ-DFS-KP. Schroder guards the one, Luka guards the two.
