Mavs just finished a rough five game trip.  They are really lucky they didn't go 1-4 or 2-3.   Mavs were dragging at the end and also got caught against two teams who had good shooting days.   Tough to overcome.

Now tonight is an important game.  I hope they come out firing.

Don't forget the scandal. Have they won since the news hit?

Minnesota is only a game and a half back, and they're much improved. They play again Friday at Minny. Need to win both to keep pace with Utah for 4th and home court.

I'm pretty worried that the Mavs' success is based on defense, and that the defense might have a problem containing these running teams, as evidenced by the Charlotte games and them having a little too much trouble with Houston. Obviously, facing a team like that on the second night of a b2b (Charlotte) is even more difficult, but it will be interesting to see how the defense holds up against Minnesota.

Forget the standings, I just hope they can find a way to avoid dropping three in a row because I know this place will be panic city if that happens.

For the record, Kidd and several members of this current roster have officially won me over. I'm of course hoping for a good showing down the stretch and advancement past round 1, but the truth is there's very little chance, at this point, that I'm not going to feel better going into this off-season than I did last year. I think the team is generally headed in a good direction (on the court, at least).

Sometimes we're memeing when we call them a must win game. Not so much for this one, spots 5-7 are too close for comfort now with how hot Minnesota has been.

We need to control the pace in this one. A big part of our defensive success is from running at the slowest pace in the league, which helps Luka save some energy for defense. We can't let Minnesota run on us like Charlotte did

Mavs haven’t lost three in a row since 12/7, at which point we were 11-12 and those days are something I don’t think any of us want to go back to. I’m not one to throw this around lightly, but it’s a must win game.

I expect Towns to break Wilt’s record tonight and the Mavs to continue their move down into the play-in tournament. #LetsGoMavs #MFFL

It's nice to have low expectations.  Then, you're never disappointed!

Luka with 0 pts, 4 TOs, and -6 after one quarter, including 0-2 from the FT line. Oof. He just does not look like his best self at all. He needs to get this figured out in the last 9 games of the season.

6-7 potential assists on wide-open misses by our crew
We just paid a whole lot of money to a guy that went 9-29 (31%) on FG and 3-20 (15%) 3-pt% in both our win or go home elimination games last couple of playoffs. SMH

Frank getting minutes. And not taking them from Green. Kidd is trying to get the defense back on track. Just hasn´t been the same in the last couple of games.

Everything looks smoother with Bullock back. Really like the rotations so far. Frank taking Burke/Brown minutes. Dinwiddie off the bench but in the closing lineup. Looking good if we get our superstar to show up to the game
