He's a MIL beat writer. He must be just a little jealous MIL traded Dirk away on draft night! By the way are you sure you don't mean 21st? The Athletic ranked Dirk as the 21st best player (behind David Robinson and Kevin Garnett which I mean c'mon). 

This reminds me of the time a bleacher report journalist wrote a serious article claiming Gerald Wallace was a better player than Dirk Nowitzki in 2010. He was 1000% dead serious.
