Will Hinton wear Mavs jersey in November
#1
Today I would like us to focus on less featured Mav, Nate Hinton. Will he be with Mavs at the start of new season? What do you think Mavs will do?

I liked Hinton. Perhaps not most talented but certainly a player. Aggresive on both ends, wasn't affraid to shoot it, when he got a chance to play. Unfortunately not very efficiently. Still just 22 years old, so why not try to develop him after a lost year (no training camp, no summer league,...). I doubt we can get way more talented guy in the late second round or undrafted. He also provided great energy cheering from the bench.

As arguably 17th man on the roster his future mostly depend on other moves. Mavs have 4 free agents and 2 options players. Lets say they will go cap space, so this is likely 2 guys for cap space and 2 more for exception money. This means 1 or 2 spots could be there to take, besides the two way options. I would like he stays, so I vote yes.

I like him, but the new regime will churn the roster a bit.

He sat with the staff (Armstrong,Shammgod) during the Kidd/Harrison press conference. I think he was the only active player in attendance. Would be suprised if he isn´t back.

I also like Nate Hinton. He plays hard and has confidence when he plays. I think he will be kept probably as a two-way player. They should develop him. He may be another diamond in the rough like DFS.

I am a Hinton fan.  I tend to get tied to a lot of fringe guys, but I think Hinton can be more.   I don't want to bet against a guy who plays with his energy, passion and aggression.

He is not a great athlete and while he shot the three pretty well as a soph at Houston and his form looks smooth, I haven't seen enough to know if he can develop into a good three point shooter.  That will be key for his game.

I sort of peg him as a Raja Bell type player as his upside.   He has a long way to go and will need to fight and claw to make a roster, but I am a fan.   He probably had my favorite college highlight clips of anyone outside the top 40 last year.

Also following them on Instagram if appears him and Terry have spent a lot of time in Dallas this offseason.  Terry posted a video at Dallas HQ weight room and Nate was at the Kidd/Nico press conference.    I am glad they are staying local.  Hopefully they are at the team facility often.   Tyler Bey doesn't post a lot but from his tags on Instagram it appears he has been mostly in Vegas this offseason.

I like Hinton a lot. I think he'll have a big summer league.

So I'm voting yes.
