ROUND 1, GAME 4: LAC (2-2) @ DAL (2-2) | 81-106 loss

Just a mismatch...Clippers have too much talent and experience. That's why I wanted nothing to do with them in this 1st round. Mavs would have had a chance against Denver.

After adjustments, the Clippers have another level they can get to. The Mavs do not. That's expected when you have Kawhi and PG in their prime vs. Luka and KP

So the Mavs big adjustment was playing Boban a few minutes. Carlisle is really earning that paycheque.

Sit Luka for the rest of this series. No need to risk further injury in his career long-term. This series is over, let Porzingis put up big points in a losing effort so that he can impress some teams that might trade for him

Luka isn't letting his neck effect him. He's picked it up. It's the others who need to step up. THJ 4pts, Kleber hasn't scored,  DFS, 2pts.

Well this is not fun.  Clippers are almost playing perfect game.  Just putting on a clinic out there.  There are very few teams that can compete against that.

I am disappointed in the Mavs fight though.  No force on offense trying to make things happen to get into the lane or get to the free throw line.   Although we are limited there.   And on defense we are not putting any resistance up.

This is not a good showing to think we are cosmetic moves away from competing.   Lets see what the second half brings.

Wtf man. This is just embarrassing. It has to happen in front of our home crowd too.

Poor management by RC. This game has been over for a long time now...there is no need for Luka to still be out there. If this team has any chance of pulling a miracle and winning another game, the role players need to get some confidence. Let them have 1.5 quarters to get heavy minutes without Luka and see if they can get anything going in garbage time.

Coach needs to try a more athletic lineup in the time he has left for this game. Trying to beat this team by going big won’t work.  Let’s get the rookie in the game.  Maybe throw Powell out there. It can’t be any worse.

This offense has nothing. It's always Luka being asked to do everything and hopefully make the roster full of one-dimensional specialists look better. If none of that works then we resort to Boban post-ups. No real system. Maybe Portland finally fires Stotts so he can come back here on the bench. Mike Weinar is not the answer at offensive coordinator, this guy is a spare

Can you imagine paying for playoff tickets to see this??

What can you say? Clippers finally put it all together offensively and especially defensively.

Well, I hope Mavs filled their missed shots quota. No defense on Kawhi remains a problem. They got to figure out how to bother him more and Maxi doesn't seem to be an answer.

Mavs have no answer for Kawhi. He killed them last year. Kleber tries his best, but he's too slow. DFS isn't strong enough. You can't really blitz and trap him either because he can find his shooters. It's really a conundrum for Dallas.

In a game where Luka clearly wasn't close to 100%, he still played 36 minutes and it was pretty much over by the 8 minute mark of the 3rd quarter. And then he was still out there late in the 4th in a silly lineup with KP and Boban. No idea what RC is doing...unless the MBT really just wants to keep him out there as long as possible no matter what so he can get his stats (which is ridiculous)

Agreed.  And, meanwhile, RC waited until around three minutes left in the game before trying Green. Angry
