So far we have covered:
- JRich with 95 % thinking he is gone
- Brunson with basicaly 50-50 split
- Hinton with 60 % for staying on only 10 votes
- Green with 87 % staying
- THJ with 65 % thinking he is gone
- JJ Redick with 100 % saying he is gone
What do you think Mavs will do with Tyler Bey?

Same as with Hinton, I think Bey future depends on other moves. 23 years old and we didn't really see enough to judge. I will vote yes, same as Hinton, although I think it is a coin toss.

I voted no.
Never been a fan, and didn't see anything to change my mind tbh.
I think he is the kind of player who will bounce around the league before settling and growing into a team and becoming an actual NBA player.
Among all of our rookie last year, he was the one I was least hyped about

My best guess. Another two-way contract. Rarely played and when he was on the floor he was pretty bad. Unlikely that another team will give him a guaranteed deal. Unlikely that the Mavs give up on him after one shortened season. If the Mavs add another rookie and it comes down to Bey vs Hinton I would probably go with Nate.

Ya, if we do add another rookie or two Bey and Hinton are for sure gone, maybe Bey and Tyrell. Hinton looked better than both of them last year.

I think he stays, but it will depend on how he looks in summer league.
I feel like both Green and Bey have potential. I'm not sold on Terry as there have been lots of great shooters who could not make the leap. I feel like Hinton is an Eddie Najera starter kit.

Hard to say right now. I think this summer league will be the event that lets us know whether or not Bey/Hinton/Terry make the roster this year.
If Bey shows out and flashes some serious 2-way potential with some new go-to offensive moves then I think he's 100% on the roster as a 2-way again.

In theory, Bey is EXACTLY the player the Mavs were missing last year. Natural 4, but with a lean towards being a modern, perimeter-defending 4, can probably pass as a 3 in some extreme situations where offense doesn't matter, and can even play some small-ball 5, LAC-Batum style, when needed.
It's just a matter of whether or not he ripens in time to help while still here.
I don't want to stick my neck out about this being the year he takes off, but I also hope they don't throw him in the trash.

I am going to say no. It is really tough to make an evaluation of him because we saw so little of them. And we have no idea if they were just thinking instead of playing or had not confidence when they got the few minutes they got. It is really hard to make an evaluation of him in his spot minutes.
But my quick impressions is he looked a little stiff in his side to side movements. I liked his college highlights but thought last year (even G-league) that he looks to be between positions. If he is going to make it, he needs to be able to be a very good wing defender. He needs to be more of a wing defender on defense and on offense be a junk yard dog who finds ways to get rebounds, finish on ally opps and cuts, etc. That needs to be his role. For instance, with our current team, his fit is when KP and Maxi are in the game. Can Bey play the wing and do the little things as Maxi and KP like to spread the floor, but then take the lead wing scorer on the other team and play good defense for a handful of minutes.
I find it interesting the Terry and Hinton appear to be in Dallas for a lot of the offseason. Per his instagram tags it looks like Bey has mainly been in Vegas. He needs to be in front of the new staff as much as possible imo. Summer league for him and Hinton will be important....especially Bey who is the older of the two.
